Initially visited this location on 12/09/21 for an oil change and brake inspection; the mileage on my car was 83,894 miles. I ended up getting front and back brake pads replaced as well as front and back rotor replacements which I planned to have done so no big deal.My total price was $944.44. Fast forward maybe around June 2022, I started noticing my steering wheel vibrate whenever I slowed down from a high rate of speed about 60 mph. I thought maybe I needed an alignment or something like that; not really anything related to the brakes. On 07/30/22, I made an appointment online for an oil change and brake inspection to see what was going on. The appointment day was for 08/04/22 at 11:00am which was plenty well in advance. I dropped the car off actually an hour before my appointment and was told they only had one technician working but that they would get me taken care of. I get a call around 5:30 pm telling me that they were not able to service my car that day and they could do it sometime in the morning. I was not okay with that because I had to work the next day and would need my care. So basically I said “you've wasted my entire day” and which the lady I spoke to said “ well not really.” I should've been redirected elsewhere when I first dropped the car off; they knew they were short staffed then. I did not want to use this location or any other Firestone location after this because the reviews I read were horrible so I decided to take my car to Midas on Joppa Road. I made the appointment for 08/12/22 at 8:00am with a mileage of 85,930. They found that all 4 rotors were warped and that there was a screw hanging out of the rotor see picture and everything was rusted over, not even just surface rust. I ended up having to get new rotors and pad front and back and out of pocket $900.29. I did revisit this location to speak with a manager whom I can’t remember her name and had a bad lace front wig, but she was very rude. I gave her a copy of my receipt from Midas and was told that I should hear from someone in a couple of days. Today is 09/07/2022 and I have not heard from any upper management. I’m sure she probably threw my information in the garbage. For the record, from 12/09/21 to 08/12/22, I accumulated only 2036 miles. I know that is very low mileage but I lived really closely to the hospital where I worked and my car was always parked in a garage so I don’t understand why there was so much rust. There is no way I should’ve had to get a brake job that soon and in less than a year. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location and any Firestone location.Services: Oil change
Absolutely horrendous customer service. I’ve never written a review before but felt the need to write my first after my experience here. The lady up front doesn’t answer the phones, is SUPER rude to customers and does not deserve your business. They fixed our tires and within a week all 4 new tires were losing air at an insanely fast pace. We went in to ask if someone could check them out and she refused to schedule an appointment, literally walked away when we were nicely asking her when she had availability, and then pretended to schedule an appointment for “sometime in a few weeks”. She had the worst attitude of any employee Ive ever met… DO NOT go here.Service: Tires
The service used to be good at this location. I came in today at 555 pm asking for a simple oil change. I was met by an older gentleman who did not have on a name tag nor did he provide his name. He stated "we cannot do an oil change tonight" I mentioned to him that I see an employee in the shop on thier cellphone and his response was "we cannot do an oil change" I have been a customer for years and this was just unacceptable.
They were able to replace my tires and it all went well other than the fact that they spent 5 hours replacing my tires. This wouldn’t have been an issue except they told me that it was only going to be 2 hours. I wish they would have been upfront about the timing.
Very bad service. Got there before 7am waited til the lady at the front desk opened and she was very unpleasant like she doesn't want to be there or work today. No other customers were there. She said she had appointments for 7am but their mechanics won't get in until 8am. So she cannot service my car as a walk-in even though the 7am appointments' customers are not there yet. Later she became very rude! All the Firestones I've been to were able to service walk-ins as first come first serve. Whoever owns this place should fire this lady! She is definitely ruining your business and Firestone image.
This place is fine for simple things like oil change and alignment but for anything else they can go screw themselves. Brought my car in to get checked out because the heater/AC weren't blowing any air at all. They told me I needed my blower motor and A/C compressor replaced which would've cost about $1700. I thought it was strange because I just had my compressor replaced a little over a year ago so I shouldn't really ever need it replaced again. I took it elsewhere and found that I in fact only needed the blower motor replaced for which I paid a much more feasible $300. This other shop also informed me that the resistor leading into the blower motor was blown and needed changing, and often times places don't do that and only replace the blower motor so about a month later the blown resistor ends up blowing the new motor. Firestone's quote for me didn't show any intention of changing the resistor so I'm glad I didn't stick with them. I'm honestly annoyed that they thought my compressor needed replacing though, surprised a place so sorely understaffed would try giving themselves more unnecessary work.Services: General repairs
Horrible service. First off I got an appointment at 12:00 and they weren't even done until 3:30. I had a couple come in about an hour and a half after I've been sitting there they waited 30 to 45 minutes and their car got done first. Then after 3 and 1/2 hours of waiting they told me I can't get the alignment and they were only able to put on my four tires. So three and a half hours just to have four tires put on.
EDIT: I wrote to the email address Firestone linked below, and no one responded, so lowering my review to one star for falsely implying they would reapond and for wasting my time AGAIN. --- Was told it would take 1.5 hours to do a tire replacement and oil change if I waited. I ended up waiting over 3 hours. Seems this is a typical problem at this mechanic
I made a 10:00am appt for a tire repair. They started on the repair with 30min which I thought was good because the were pretty busy. The tech didn't try to sell me a new tire which I thought would happen. The repair was done at 11:30am and the tech showed me a long bolt that he took out of the tire. They said I needed my air filter and cabin filter replaced which both were replaced at an oil change 2 weeks ago. I believe that they were just following the manufacturer recommended replacement time. I was very happy with the service and will definitely come back for any future tire services.
I was looking forward to using this location for my car service. The person answering the phone seemed to be busy as I had to repeat everything at least twice. My appointment for 10:00 was scheduled and I arrived 5 minutes ahead of time. At 10:46, I decided to leave because my car still had not been moved into the alignment bay. A customer in the waiting room was waiting to get an oil change and her appointment was at 9:00. Very poor customers service.
