First Call Bail Bonds

Paid Chris 1400.00 cash and used a truck title as collateral on a 2000.00 cash bond. Once the case was closed and all conditions were satisfied, First Call Bail Bonds was supposed to keep 300.00 for the fee to get me out of jail and refund the remaining money and close out the agreement originally made. On 12/16/2017I I received a letter from the courts telling me that the case was closed and that First Call Bail Bonds was notified of this and they were no longer liable, and the bond had been released back to them. I called Chris and asked him when iI would be able to get the refund and he told me it out of his hands and the office would be taking care of this and it would take anywhere from 30 - 90 days to receive the refund. I waited 30 days and called to find out the status of my refund and was told it had only been 30 days and it takes 30 - 90 days and they still hadn't received anything from the courts. I called the courthouse and they verified that on 12/16 /17 it was for sure released back to First Call Bail Bonds. Since I wasn't getting any help from Chris I tried calling First Calls Office and every phone number for all the different locations goes to chris's phone, so after getting no help from Chris from 12/16/17 till 4/10/18 I threatened to go to Attorney General, Iowa State Insurance Board, and file a civil suit against First Call Bail Bonds and Chris If Didn't receive the refund immediately. I then receive a answer from Chris saying that he was going to send out a check in the mail right away, after waiting three weeks and still no check I called Chris and was told that the check came back in the mail, he said he would send it again, eight days later I finally received a check ( postmarked yesterday ) and instead of being 1100.00 it was for 750.00. As it stands now I cashed the check and I feel very lucky that I received any of the refund. I WOULDN'T USE CHRIS AND FIRST CALL BAIL BONDS EVER AGAIN AND IF YOU ARE SMART YOU WOULD CALL A DIFFERENT COMPANY!!!
