This sports bar is excellent. Always have a good time here. The food is a great price and tasty. There are tons of TVs and lots of food options. Great for groups. I would come back. It's def a sports vibe with tons of attendees. Highly recommend!
Very nice little neighborhood sports bar and dive bar in the heart of Ballston where you can watch sports on one of the many big-screen TV’s if sports are your thing, order chicken wings or many many other different kinds of pub-grub, order craft beer, and more. They could do better with the craft beer selection, but everything else is pretty good. The staff are nice and the decor is nice and creative. In a neighborhood like Ballston where nearly everything is changing, this is one of the last dive bars of its kind and it’s like a neighborhood gem so to speak.
First Down Sports Bar is a decent bar to go to if you’re in the Ballston area. When I first walked in, I will say the smell was not too pleasant.. it smelled a little old and humid. I was there during their happy hour and took advantage of their rail drinks which are only $4.99! I got a bourbon with pineapple and cranberry. The food was honestly way better than I expected. I ordered a chicken wrap with spicy garlic butter... it was on point!
Best wings in Arlington. Steer away from the salads and stick with burgers, wings, onion rings and fries. And I’ve never reviewed a bartender s but when you consistently see anyone doing their job at the top of their game , it just makes the visit better: Tom and Liza are rockstars - best and happiest bartenders I’ve met or seen
Sunday football playoffs! My Cowboys lost… Fantastic friendly fun service from Talia & Crew. Wings, waffle fries, ample libations. A genuinely awesome time with pals! ————— Cool little hangout, actually bigger than appears from Fairfax Drive, with large back room huge enough for a good group gathering. Excellent sports viewing and sliders to nosh. Fantastic table service by Teo & his bro’s make the Sunday football game losses bearable. ————— Delish wings, finely seasoned and cooked just right. For me, the burger was perfect, a perfect end to a very busy day. Drinks made by Slick-Barkeep Anthony and on occasion, Manager Paul real down and done rightly. The tv’s are positioned well, not too loud, and show just about all that day’s live sports & such commentary you can enjoy free. Not too expensive, a good choice for you to splurge for yourself and on a buddy you care about. However, this is indeed the NoVa area, and you are sitting yourself in Ballston [“Little Manhattan”] so understand if you just arrived from Ottumwa Iowa, Milwaukee Wisconsin, or perhaps Tucson Arizona that prices are commensurate with the government blowing up the economy fast with a nonstop flood of your tax dollars. [And if you are lucky enough to benefit from the gov’t paying out more and more and more, then please leave a generous tip at the bar or on your table. These dudes earn it so!] See y’all at the zinc! ~Newmie
This used to be a great staple for wings, beer and good service. It’s clear there’s new ownership and the food quality has fallen desperately with the atmosphere. A sad shame to an iconic sports bar.
Nice local neighborhood Sports Bar. The beer was cold and the food was excellent. We were in town and found this gem. Long “L” shape bar with dinning tables in the back. Plenty of TV’s to watch the games on. The menu has plenty of choices and of course the swings are the best. Give it a try. Please hit “Like” if this was helpful. Thanks.
Love this sport Bar, nice atmosphere.. streaming different games and sports in the same time on their multiple Tvs.. Good food as well
The most fun place in the area to watch a ball game. Great crowd, responsible and lively bartenders, great bar food!
Their nachos are mint. So so good. Their service… even better!! Bring your friends here for a good time, good drinks, and a diverse set of characters. No really, such a great spot!!
