First Oriental Market

I love this funky little place. Very nice staff (owners?) Excellent selection of every kind of east Asian food item as well as cooking implements, cups/bowls and even seeds to grow Asian veg. Superlative selection of teas including herbal/medicinal teas at good prices. A bit messy and overcrowded with items, but that just adds to it's charm.

Great spot for Asian ingredients but sometimes posted hours are iffy. Ladies are always helpful

This place can be overwhelming if you aren't familiar with it. There is so much "stuff" its hard to navigate if you are a first time visitor. They do have a selection of frozen meat alternatives (vegan options) that are hard to find elsewhere like faux shrimp. If you're cooking an Asian dish and need a particular seasoning or item this is the place to go! Just picked up some Agar Agar, Google it!
