I've waited a long time to truly evaluate this management company as I wanted to give them a fair chance. I have been living in this building for almost 3 years now and I have yet to have anything with management go smoothly. A summary of the more inconvenient challenges I have had: having the condo switched into my name after purchase, having my buzzer set up (twice, as somehow it was switched back at one point), package delivery/pickup, obtaining guest parking passes, booking amenities, using amenities, any safety concerns brought up, communication with other staff, window cleaning, notices to residents, notice re: accessing units, overall lack of response to any emails... I could go on, but I feel my point has been made. If you have a choice in the matter- go with a building that does not use FirstService as the management company.

This joke of a company deserves to be on the spot light of a Saturday night life skit. The employees and management are Rude, incompetent & disrespectful. I'd call this company garbage but waste management wouldn't even want to pick up this load.
I approached them politely, I had 1 question, 1 simple, easy, Strait forward question. That even a 10yr old girl could answer and instead I get the epitome of verbal diarrhea.

Very horrible customer service and extremely rude management team. Expo city is a disaster because of them. Nothing gets fixed or replaced. Condo got flooded back in Jan and still not resolved. Back in August there was a pool leak causing damage as well. The yoga room to still not fixed. Overall just a complete joke of a company. STAY AWAYYYY!!!!

Possibly the worst management company I’ve ever dealt with. We pay too much to live at 5 Michael Power Place to be treated with such a lack of respect from our building management. Our building manager is never around, and when there’s an emergency she’s no where to be found. We’ve had fire alarms going off all weekend because of faulty mechanical issues, leaving elevators down for hours and pets and seniors to fend for themselves. Disgusting. Moving out soon as we cannot put up with this unprofessional company any more. Perfect area to live but the lack lustre management company makes this place a dive. Run far and fast from them.

Chauvinist, ignorant, sexist company to work for. 2012 I meet with Nathan Brown GM at the time with Simera. Simera was the former company and was bought out by 1st Service, Mr. Brown was managing The Marlyn Munroe buildings Hwy 10 and Burnhamthorpe. I arranged an interview for an assistant manager position and I have over 30 years in management and building maintenance. But unfortunately I wasn’t good looking enough and exact quote from Mr. Brown “Sorry, but you’re not good looking enough to bring in the hot Chick’s to the office like the security guard I want to hire” Amco, 1st Service and human right did nothing after I complained, because I guess it’s because I’m a white male. Oh and not good looking enough according to Mr. Nathan Brown. Who is married man and hired the security guard with no experience and no help from my condo organization AMCO and 1st didn’t care at all. Guess they like sexist GM’s like Nathan Brown
