Fit By Altas Horas is a newly opened restaurant and luncheonette found on busy Ferry St. As the name suggests, it is maintained by the same owners of Altas Horas, the 24-7 Brazilian sandwich and lunch shack found right down the street from Fit on Ferry. How Fit by Altas Horas differs from its parent restaurant is by meeting a much-needed middle ground of both tasty and healthy Brazilian made meals and snacks. Brazilian cuisine at its heart revolves around the use of fresh ingredients, vegetables, and fruits and Fit By Altas Horas caters to those who want to eat healthily when they go out to eat. Brazilian cuisine also includes tasty, and sometimes unhealthy snacks salgados and burgers, so Fit by Altas Horas has incorporated them with a healthy spin on it - such as air-fried coxinhas made of sweet potatoes, protein packed brigadeiros and beijinhos, and more. While I was there, I ordered a sweet potato coxinha filled with beef, as well as a plate of salmon, brussel sprouts, and sweet potatoes. I was shocked at how delicious everything was, and immediately placed an order for 14 meals to pick up for the week. They deliver to the surrounding area in Newark, they offer daily specials, and their menu is quite expansive. They are extremely affordable and the meals made to order. They even offer meal prep/weekly meal plans with plenty of options that allow you to pick a protein, carb, and choice of vegetable. Check them out next time you're in the area!
