Fun muppet boxes, rich, red velvet curtains, carpets, and seats, and other vintage details will transport you to a bygone era. The theater was built the 1910’s and it supposedly has two of its very own ghosts - Ben, believed to be a former stagehand that froze to death outside the back door, and Veronica, a former actress. It’s a cozy, little literally the balcony seats are theater venue with so much history. I’d recommend eating something before you go because food and drink options are limited but there is a small bar with drinks and snacks.
Beautiful theater! Can take these cool spiral stairs to the top and see out over the theater from above. Lobby and waiting areas pretty small but seats felt better than average for a theater. Great show from the Letterkenny folks!
Amazing venue with great seating. Near perfect acoustics. Highly recommend seeing any show here! Tommy Emanuel was breathtaking!
The place is big. Seats are ok. We went to see Laufey , and we sat in one of the balcony boxes.
We were here to see Tommy Emmanuel it's always wonderful to get back to the Fitzgerald theater and always makes me miss the days of the prairie home.
Lovely intimate Theatre. Built in 1933, it's been curated nicely. Feel warm & cozy. Really the only complaint is Restrooms are small and on the Balcony level. Staff were friendly & helpful. I have seen several shows here & I recommend it, as it is a lovely spot to see any performance.
The Fitzgerald Theater is an icon space in Minnesota public radio history and local theater and arts history. It features three levels of seating and multiple opera boxes creating an intimate setting. We saw Criminal Podcast and felt this was the perfect venue to hear true crime stories and listen to the show's creators. The theater staff were all friendly and the bars were well stocked with snacks and beverages. Enjoy this beautiful space!
Beautiful venue! Easy parking. Only 4 stars because we were seated in the balcony and it was much too warm, to the point that people were sweating before the show began.
Very cute theater. Came here for Happy Birthday Janis show and it was great. They have a small area for drinks and merch spot. Seating is very comfortable and it's easy to see to stage from all spots.
Attended a concert there, and the acoustic was great. We were on the main floor towards the back, and you could see the stage perfectly. I would definitely attend another performance there.
