This was the first time the lady and I had ever visited Five, and it was quite the first impression! We went on a Saturday morning for brunch and were immediately welcomed by a warm atmosphere filled with live jazz music. We were seated quickly and our waitresses, Sadie, took excellent care of us. I went with the Five burrito, and the lady had the chicken and waffles. We also had pineapple mimosas to drink. If you’re in the Lakeview area and are looking for a tasty brunch spot, Five is the place to go! Wheelchair accessibility: Five is wheelchair accessible.
We went to Five to celebrate my sisters birthday. We had a great time. The service was spot on. The food was cooked perfectly. All of our orders were cooked just as we ordered. If you want to try something new, this is the spot.Food: 5/5
The staff was nice, food was amazing, and they had a nice live jazz band playing during Saturday brunch. Overall an amazing experience. I would highly recommend.Food: 5/5
We decided to give Five a try for Sunday brunch with our picky 14 yo, and we were not disappointed. We arrived around 12:30, but only waited about 30m to be seated. We got caramel apple beignets to start, with a DIY Bloody Mary & pineapple mimosa for the adults. The beignets were delicious and both drinks were good. I got the shrimp & grits, which were well seasoned and creamy. My wife ordered the chicken & waffles - really tasty - and the kid got the breakfast cheeseburger, which he devoured with gusto. The interior of the place is an interesting hodge-podge of pictures & memorabilia with local-ish associations. There was a pleasant jazzy duo performing in the corner, loud enough to enjoy without overpowering the room. Service was a bit slow, but that's understandable at such a busy time. We'll definitely return to try dinner soon. Parking: Parking here sucks unless you get lucky. But there are lots of restaurants and bars here, so that's to be expected during peak times.
We had the brunch burger and omg so good! The sauce that comes with it is divine! The pineapple mimosa was perfect and very nice environment with live jazz band. 10/10Food: 5/5
I was nervous about the limited menu. But everyone raved about their selections which were served hot and ample portions. They have TVs for those who want to watch sports. Great place to meet friends or stop by for drinks after work. I had the Uptown shrimp served asian slaw.Food: 5/5
Great place! Staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is great and how about the Bloody Mary Bar??? Hah! They have a build your own BM Bar… first I’ve ever seen. Check out my pics. It’s a must have for breakfast and the bar it’s self is a beautiful bar. Awesome place for sure.
The food was amazing and cooked to perfection! The live band was a vibe. 9/10 I would recommend. The only reason I gave this place a 4/5 is because the customer service wasn’t up to par. The server was great; however, the hostess attitude suck! I will definitely visit the place again.
Fabulous meal! To start we had the lamb small plate see pic and then moved on to the fried oysters with arugula. Both were superb. Great flavor profiles. For our main we had the smoked chicken with white sauce. The meat was so tender and it was topped with a delicious white sauce with just enough bite. We rarely order chicken out, but so glad we did. Look forward to our next visit!
