Gross. I just went today and got macaroni pie, fried chicken and dumplings for my daughter and the food was not good. The Mac pie tasted like eggs and like it wasn’t done cooking. The dumpling was dry and the chicken had no flavor. It was fried real good but had no flavor. I felt like bringing back my food but I just didn’t feel like making trouble. Decided to leave review instead. Proceed with caution. Looks good but you’ll be fooled..smh
If I could give zero stars!!! I bout large ox tail rice and beans, the rice taste burnt, and the Ox tails were fatty and horrible, 5 minutes later I threw up…. Never again!!!!! Flames grove Hall Dorchester, Mass
Flames is a very popular restaurant in my Dorchester neighborhood. Over the years, many people of different ethnicities come here to enjoy a taste of the Caribbean. Until recently, my last time there was probably three years ago and I've never been disappointed, until now. The service was horrible and both ladies behind the counter was rude and lacked customer service. I ordered the curry chicken. It was bland and had no seasoning. Everything tasted like it was cooked in one pot. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting from them. Maybe they have a new cook or new management but the quality wasn't the same. Between the bad customer service and the bland food, I doubt I'll be back.
This flames location never fails. Ideally its for take out. But they have tabled in the corner where you can eat out of your Styrofoam to go containerFood: 5/5

Great spicy Caribbean food with bad customer service. A lady that serve food is like a deaf. She is NOT listening what you order. When you ask questions, she'll say “Huh?with angry face. I had jerked chicken & OXtail! Love food in specific!:
Walked into flames to pick up a plate of food. Server prepared my plate while cashier started eating her food. At first I was taken back that she was eating her food in between customers with the same gloves where she was handling money and people’s food. However, she wasn’t opening treys. When I got to the counter this woman put her food down and then opened my trey. I paused and looked at her and said did you just open my food. She said what’s the problem. I said you are eating you haven’t sanitized your hands or changed your gloves like mam. You don’t open people’s food if you are going to touch your own food. If you need to know what I ordered Just ask. I get it when you have two people working you need to be able to eat. That’s not the issue I had. The issues was strictly her lack of sanitary practices and on top of that the way she communicated with me thereafter. She turned to the woman who was preparing someone else’s plate and begins talking to her and then Pauses with an attitude. So I standing there looking at her like what’s the plan are you just going to passively IGNORE me? The other server finishes fixing the plate and then begins moving some Pots and pans and other things. I literally paused and said to myself why are you still here like their being rude just go somewhere else. So I asked the lady are you refusing to serve me now? She said I literally just asked her to fix you a new plate. I am sitting there looking at her like mam did I know that? I don’t speak your language and you stood there with an attitude passively ignoring me. I said you know what I am good and I walked out and went up the road and got pizza. Better service is at Jamaica mi happy. That’s where I originally intended to go and overslept. I won’t make that mistake again nor will I be back.
This place is a waste of commercial space. I'm American and I cook better Isand food! The place was filthy with no working restrooms. The owners were not so friendly or patient. I had to request for my table to be cleaned off. I took an uber from the Seaport area to sample a tast and was highly disgusted. Please take some pride in the appearance of you establishment and have some respect for the public that you are servicing. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but you all really need to do better. I am a business owner and i woud never expect treat the public this way. Hopefully this will help you make some changes ‍
I made myself a plate to go ate it in the car it was so good I went back and got another Plate to take it home for dinner. Although it gets pretty busy and the line gets long the line goes quickly and the food is worth It.
I ordered medium rice and beans and stew chicken. The lady that attended to me was rude and unprofessional. She put little pieces of chicken intentional. She was hateful for no just cause.
