I usually love staying at the Flamingo, it is in a great location and has great dining options. My last two trips have been very disappointing when it comes to the rooms. My last trip I upgraded out of pocket for the Neapolitan Suite. The suite was advertised as recently remodeled. I felt the suite was in the process of being remodeled. the fabric on the furniture was suspiciously stained. The walls of the room were bland and we could see nail holes where artwork had been removed. Our bedroom had two queen beds, however they were both missing the individual bedside stands. The outlets were placed where the stands should have been, just no nightstands. In the middle of the beds, we had a shared nightstand, however there were no outlets or charging ports. The bathroom was not clean, with plenty of mold in the showers and around the floorboards. Our shower actually had no hot water for the first day we were there, which is not the best start to a trip after a long flight. I felt that we would have been happier without paying for the upgrade and early check-in. Our prior stay in a Go Room was much more pleasant, aside from finding a used washcloth in the dresser drawer.
The FLAMINGO is a great hotel. It's central located across from Caesars which makes it convenient to hit any direction of the sights. Their standard rooms are decent sized, clean and up to date and their suites are very nice. The rooms overlooking the flamingo encounter have a great view and aren't to noisy. I've photographed several weddings at The Flamingo and the staff is always very pleasant and accommodating. The garden chapel with the waterfall is beautiful, they offer a very nice bridal room as well. If your doing a video with your wedding the waterfall and background noise from the pool and the activity on the other side is very loud. I have samples available for viewing. The gazebo area is beautiful but in summer months there is no relief from the sun or heat. If you have a summer wedding parasol's and fans would be great gifts for your guests. The hotel should really add a shade covering and water misters. Overall great choice for a wedding in either location, contact me for your photography and video. They will charge you an outside vendor fee of $200 but you'll still save money with my photo and video package and get so much more included. Thanks for reading my review and God's Blessings to you. Nearby activities: Close to all Walkability: Center of strip so easily walkable to most strip locations Food & drinks: Carlos and Charlie's is great
We love this hotel! Casino has a great layout and easy to navigate. The biggest con that we found was the pool. The Go pool itself is great however their new set up for it is terrible. You have to get there by 8am opens at 9 to get a chair otherwise you will end up having to find a spot on the concrete since your only other option is spending $500+ on daybeds/cabanas. They are definitely catering towards the more wealthy guests or ones that are desperate enough to spend that much money. Also, the music is so loud starting around 11am…like you can hear it your hotel room pretty well. We have always loved the pool itself the layout, the tropical feel, the waterfalls but since they decided to change from tons of free lounge chairs to mostly having costly daybeds and very few chairs it sucks. We won’t be coming back for that reason. If they change it back to where there are mostly lounge chairs which would be catering to most of their guest considering there are a lot of empty daybeds then we may stay here again. Also, the pool that kids can go to is the saddest thing we have ever seen. It is so small and also has very limited seating. The water slide is only open on the weekends apparently so i am sure there have been a lot of disappointed families.
This is our home away from home. I absolutely love the Flamingo! I have stayed here twice now. It just does so many things right: easy to navigate, friendly crowd in the casino, awesome pool, stellar location, and easy parking. Also, our room was updated and very comfy. Some parts of the hotel are not updated yet, though. All in all, it's a great bang for your buck. If part of your experience is bad, then you are still in the center of it all in Vegas, or you can enjoy their really nice pool. The only thing I did NOT like was the check-in. The kiosks for check-in didn't work, and we ended up needing to talk to a human rep to get situated. The process took about 20-30min, which was not fun after the long drive.
Definitely get what you pay for. The location is good and the casino is decent but the rooms could use some small work. There was still tape on the walls of our room from previous guests hanging balloons, the toilet paper holder was broken open and I nearly cut myself on it, and the vent hadn't been dusted in years. Overall it was a good value for the price just some small improvements needed on room maintenance.
The check- in process was terrible. We were told to use the kiosk and the kiosk only directed us to wait for a rep. There were only 2 available. They were nice at first, we got our room and went all the way to the room and it was not clean! We checked in at 9pm. Bottles and dirty towels all over the bathroom. Nasty bed, room was gross. Called the front desk and the gentleman said, “leave your bags in there and wait for housekeeping to come clean the room. We went back downstairs and demanded a new clean room. They were Rude and disrespectful!! I showed him the pictures and the other lady says YOU HAVE TO WAIT, we are helping others! I said well, you should’ve gave me a clean room in the first place and I wouldn’t be down here yet again! As compensation we were told we had a $30 food credit… yea like that’s a lot. That barely covers a drink. They could have at the least refunded the resort fees! Although the Flamingo is conveniently located with the monorail and all….. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. The “cleaner “ room wasn’t all that clean, something was splattered on the bathroom wall and it didn’t smell clean. The bed was comfortable and that’s about the only thing that was good.
Stayed here on our first visit ever to Las Vegas and had an excellent time. Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the high roller rooms and it was HUGE. It had a massive sitting area with dining room, wet bar, living room area, 2 bathrooms and a king size bed. The entire room was clean and you couldn't hear a peep. It is central to the strip so a perfect location for doing lots of things on foot. Really enjoyed our stay here and recommend anyone looking for reasonable accommodations while in Las Vegas.
Good location for the strip and convenient. However the check in process is absolutely awful and hardly any staff around to help regardless of the time of day. Rooms are basic and the facilities a bit worn and dated, could definitely do with a remodel! It would also be nice to have some smoke free areas which some other hotels have, as when you walk through it’s sometimes unbearable with the smoke around. The cleaners for the rooms are lovely and super thorough we had checks/ cleans and towels very regularly through our stay.
It's inexpensive, I'll give it that. And to be honest, there is not that much difference between the rooms here and a higher priced resort. The rooms were actually very nice. Clean, updated, comfortable. The beds were very comfortable with relatively firm mattresses with a soft mattress pad and a choice of down or synthetic pillows. The food around the resort and on the strip continues to be super expensive. I thought we could travel elsewhere to save money and get better food, but had people with limited mobility on the trip. The pool area was loud and definitely a party scene at all hours. However, there is a much more laid back "family" pool you can utilize. It seems like it's only for families with small children but the security overseeing it completely understands the need to get away from the 24/7 party atmosphere of the other pool. Had no problem getting my 82 year old mother into the family pool area. Staff at this place are helpful, but only if you're friendly and considerate first. I don't blame them, they're seriously overworked. Also, if you have others staying at the Hilton on the property, it is a long walk from the Flamingo to the Hilton, you have to walk the road and take service pathways, but not at all bad from the Hilton to the Flamingo. Prepare for long check in lines since this is an affordable resort. About 15-20 mins.
Can’t beat the price for the location. We arrived about two hours before check-in and just walked up to a kiosk. We paid $20 for early check-in which was definitely worth it, because at 4 PM the lines to check in were absolutely humongous. The staff at the players club where we picked up our cards were super friendly, and took time to deal with our issues. Love how the Flamingo is right next to the Linq Promenade that has lots of nice restaurants. We got a standard room with two queens. It was much nicer than I was expecting for such an old hotel. Obviously the room had been renovated. Lots of outlets for electronic devices. Only a shower but that’s what I prefer anyway
