Flat Creek Public Fishing Area

Convenient local place to fish. Not too far off the interstate. There are restrooms on site. Fish cleaning station too, but is currently out of order. Water level in lake is very low. Unfortunately most people don't follow rules and are keeping all the fish they catch regardless of size or quantity. Therefore it's hard to catch decent sized fish here. Seems the lake is fished out. Also there's quite a bit of litter on the ground and trash cans are always overflowing.

So serene and tranquil,wasn't best fishing day. But this place is very well thought out and has a lot of things,a fish cleaning area,clean bathrooms and again great scenery

I really like this PFA. I use it for hunting and use of the archery range. The hunting area has some nice diversity and a decent population of deer. A good portion of the hunting area is easily accessible with parking areas. The archery range is also really good. Bag targets as well as 3d targets. There is also a nice 3d trail you can walk and shoot. Nice quiet secret tucked away in Perry. Highly recommend.

It's nice place to take your kids to wet a line. Unless you have a boat or an overabundance of patience that's about all they'll do. How the ground are kept is kind of hit or miss. I've been there when the grass has been up to my knees. If the grass were cut all the way to the water out would make for more pleasurable fishing. Nice restrooms and parking.
