In 1964, a few humble and courageous of men, who were acting on their commitment to start a Christian school, mortgaged their homes for the purpose of creating a new ministry. That first year, a very small school opened its doors on Grand Ave. to 64 students, ranging from Kindergarteners to 6th graders.
In 1978, the vision expanded, leading to the purchase of property at Baseline. In those days, the $10,000 price tag seemed monumental. Today, we laugh at such a bargain; however, back then, the investment required a huge step of faith.
The journey continued with the loving sacrifice of many who mustered the courage to seize opportunities for further development. These opportunities materialized in the construction of our Athletics and Fine Arts Building (1986), the Baseline Education Complex (1998) and the Rt. 66 Preschool (2004).
In spite of recent economic turbulence, Foothill has nearly 800 students on two campuses in Preschool-8th grade. God has been so faithful, and it is now our turn to continue marching in faith, so that not only those are honored who have gone before us, but that we might also pave the way for those who follow in our steps.
Our Mission is to provide families with a Christ-centered, Biblically-directed education which encourages the development of a personal relationship with God and which instills the vision and practice of excellence in academics, character and service to God and others.
