Pleasant restaurant that is clean and bright. Good selection of brews and varied menu. Free parking behind. Portion was a little small for entree.
Got the Brewery dip the last time I went, the meat seemed old, was dry and burned. Wouldn't order that again. This place is done for, good riddance.
I loved it! My server Nick was quick, polite, and very helpful. When I first walked in it smelled like good beer and food which got my apettite up in no time. All the tables and floors were clean and ready for customers. We got fried pickles to start and those were delicious. Crunchy on the outside and inside and served to us very fast and piping hot. The burger was awesome and the fries were fantastic. Even though we came an hour before closing all my food was still fresh and hot, and my veggies crisp and ripe. Overall I really enjoyed my experience. It will definitely be a restaurant I come back to often. And thank you to my server Nick for making our visit to your restaurant all the more pleasant: will recommend to my friends downriver. A MUST TRY!!!
We popped in here with a large group on a Saturday after the lunch rush. It turned out to be a good choice. We had 10 people in our group. Nevertheless, the service was spot on. Orders were taken efficiently, drinks were refilled promptly and no one had complaints. The food was very good. I had a burger that was cooked exactly as ordered. The toppings were fresh and added a great deal of quality to the meal. Everyone in our group complimented the food. Dessert included Saunders ice cream - an excellent ending. I didn't try any of the beers, but one in our group did and let us know it was very good. This is a must try place if you're Downriver. Free parking behind the building, conveniently located in Lincoln Park near Southfield and Fort Street.
They make their own beers on site and they are usually very good, especially the Turbo Sarsaparilla. The food is average - nothing amazing but not bad. Not usually very crowded so it's a nice place to go if you want a more relaxed bar scene.
Best brewery downriver! Delicious food and friendly staff. The Reuben is one of the best we've ever had. My boyfriend really enjoys quite a few of the brews, too. The brewer is super friendly and talks to every table when there is a new cask. Very cool place
**SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE** Our server was great, considering it was her second day on the job. Friends trickled in and we all sat at the same table. There ended up being nine of us at one point, and we didn't have a reservation. When someone asked for his bill, the manager said we all had to be on one bill, of which we were not previously aware. It was very awkward to try to look at a single bill and figure out what was who's. I asked the manager to please split the bill - that we all happened to be sitting together - some ordering food, others just in and out for a drink and quick hello. He said no, walked to the side of the room, folded his arms, and glared at our table until we paid up and left. The place wasn't busy at all - 4-6 in the afternoon. What a power trip. I've been here numerous times before with friends and had great service - then again, this particular manager wasn't around either. Thought it might be cool for us to all meet up at a brewery, but there are plenty of other places to go. Won't be going back to Fort Street Brewery.
Large place, lots of seating. Fast and friendly service. I had a cream ale. Nice smooth drinking beer. Not an IPA drinker so this was right up my alley. They allow food to be brought in. They have a patio, but we sat inside. We parked on the street in front of the brewery. Not sure about other parking options.
My boyfriend and I came here late on a Saturday night and the place wasn't super busy. Kelly, our waitress, had had a hard day but did not let it affect her mood or service. She was great. The beer, the wine, the brats, the sandwiches.... incredible. This is a must go downriver.
4/18 This place was clean enough for a pub. Small menu. Food was not bad. I had a rubein pizza, it taste fine, the crust i think was the same for all the pizzas. It was a dense hard garlic crust that was fine, but not for everybody. Some self made brews, not sure if they sold anything they didnt brew as I was just driving through and didnt drink. Had alot of tvs, seemed to have a full bar.
