Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband celebrating our 1 year anniversary and this was our first trip to Phoenix. The hotel was trendy and beautiful and fun throughout. Danielle at the front desk was absolutely amazing. We had arrived a little ahead of check-in due to an early flight, and she was so kind and considerate and made sure our check-in went smoothly and that we had the best experience during our celebratory weekend! Our room was very clean, sheets smelled fresh and the bed was quite comfy. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
Outstanding boutique hotel. Local art. Solid food. Modern flavors. The rooms are chic. This is an exceptional value; other boutique hotels would be two or three times more expensive. It’s fun but not noisy. It’s perfect you’re looking to escape your corporate Marriott travel experience with better food, cocktail, and hipper staff. Kifen and Nick at the bar took care.
They have done a great job with this renovation/rebranding. The decor is hip and comfortable and the bar and restaurant have both great food and cocktail options. Add to that, nice collection of music playing. It is adequately staffed and fairly friendly. The kitchen dies a good job serving up quality food but be prepared to wait longer than you would expect. It's odd that all they seem to have the TV’s in public areas tuned into news consistently. Nothing dampers the mood than watching the latest murders, robberies and sad stories. On a better note, that style throughout is fantastic.
cons: for a one night stay, the room was a bit expensive for the size. we got the king size room and it was very tight. I was very disappointed the shower and the toilet are in one room combination and the shower kept flooding the floor in the entire bathroom. The toilet kept getting stuck in flash mode, and I had to open the toilet lid every time to flush the toilet not fun at 2 o’clock in the morning. Also, the grout in the shower needed to be fixed. I kept stepping on small pieces that were broken. they have temporary slippers. Such a great ideate bad when I open the new package they were damaged. we went downstairs to the bar for a drink, and it took forever just to get two drinks. The drinks are a bit pricey as well. They said they were going to takeoff my resort fee. Hopefully they do. The view was absolutely beautiful at night, but we got stuck looking at all of the air vents from the roof. Pros: the front desk staff is super nice and the art in the building is absolutely phenomenal. they had champagne and strawberries, ready for my fiancé when he arrived. thank you so much.
Overall, this is a great hotel in an amazing location. To get it out of the way, why 4-stars instead of 5-stars? For us it came down to 3 things: 1 The first room we got had a heavy smoke smell. Our understanding was the hotel was a no smoking hotel which is why we booked it. Someone probably broke those rules but regardless, when the room was cleaned we figured someone should have caught that and not given us the room in the first place. We very much appreciate the fact that they changed our rooms quickly! 2 The second room we got moved to didn’t seem like it was mopped or vacuumed. There was a fair amount of dirt on the floor somehow. We cleaned it up ourselves, it’s not a huge deal but, would have been better if we hadn’t had to do that. 3 Last is the price. While the location is great, we’ve stayed at other hotels in the area that are a good amount less expensive for the same size room. We understand though that for many, they stay here because of vibes! And the vibes are great!! For things that we love about this hotel, it’s a long list which is why we still went with 4-stars! A few include: 1 The restaurant and bar at the hotel are great. We had at least one breakfast, lunch, and dinner there and loved what we got each time! 2 The service is great! Everyone is super helpful and kind. We love that! 3 It is hard to beat this location. We love walking around and there is a LOT to walk to from here! The Japanese Garden and some of the local farmers markets on the weekend were our favorites. 4 They have a pool onsite and although a little small, it works great and was never too crowded while we were there. 5 There is a little art gallery and art throughout the hotel. Love the vibe this brings! Fun to see a mix of artists work all around you. 6 If you get a room on one of the higher floors, the views are great!! Our room had a balcony too which was a great way to enjoy a morning coffee. If you choose to stay here, enjoy!! Walkability: Very Walkable
This was definitely a luxe industrial artsy vibe complete with an art gallery. I can't say enough about how amazing the staff was. Everyone was eager to assist & genuine. They definitely understand customer service in a time where it's lacking. Rooms were super fun but we're a little loud at times due to the design. The hotel was walking distance from some very cool places and steps from First Fridays. Room comes with free parking & a complimentary gelato.
LOVE this hotel. I wish it were one in Georgia. The staff were super friendly and genuine. I enjoyed talking to them. There's an art museum in the hotel, super cool. There's a heated swimming pool, omg! The room was spacious and there was a fridge. I could live there. Oh, you must try the Ooey Gooey Cheeseburger. So delicious. The bartender is great at making drinks. Great location as well. And ladies, the shower head is detachable... that's all I'm going to say. LOL If I go to Arizona again or they open another location somewhere, I WILL be going to stay there. Take my money!
Came here for business. Convenient location. Rooms themselves are decently sized, and I enjoy that they have quite a lot of unique art around. One of those weird ones where the shower has no door and water just gets literally everywhere. Toiletries are mediocre. Blackout curtains work well. Bed is reasonably comfortable. However, my major complaint is that for a hotel, the soundproofing is horrible. Easy to hear conversations next door, people walking around on the floor above you, people talking in the hallways, and people having sex in their rooms. Especially bad trying to deal with jetlag and having to get up for 9 AM meetings. Internet is also very flakey, despite needing to pay for it. Would not recommend.
Appeared to be a fantastic little place. Unfortunately the rooms that were available were just too pricey to justify for a quick night stay for me. In my case the Marriott down the road was $150 cheaper from the night. Had I been traveling with my Wife I think we will take an advantage and enjoy the spot and all the creativity and had to offer.
