This spot is definitely original. I came out here with my family from Washington DC and didn't have much time to visit but passed through this spot on my way back. Their beef patty and sorrel juice were great. They have all sorts of great Jamaican market goods and other great food I wish I had more time to try. They appeared to be very busy but the lady working behind the counter was very professional and kind. Blessings to you all and I hope to return to you all sometime in the near future.
The food here was really good. I ordered the Brown stew chicken with peas and rice cabbage and a side order of plantains. The food was seasoned perfectly. If you are in the area I highly recommend this spot if you are in the mood for some good Caribbean food.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: NoCurbside pickup: No
Great food! Great prices! And wonderful customer service, the Ox tail was simply scrumptious! So tender and very Flavorful! And when I’m back in the area again I would absolutely go back!
Ordered oxtail and thought the portion was small so asked for an extra piece and the lady told me “you’re not starving” which is pretty unacceptable. Quality is subpar, rice was over cooked. Won’t be back.
One of my favorite Jamaican spots to go to...it's my favorite hole in the wall spot...great customer service from the mom an daughter...so today I ordered the oxtail lunch plate, curry chicken lunch plate an Jamaican & pineapple soda....they make me feel like I'm back at home every time I come in here.....
Me and my wife have been going to eat here for over 20 years now and it is the ONLY really authentic Jamaican place we will ever eat at! We have tried several other Jamaican restaurants and none of them will EVER compare to Foxx! Hands down the best Jamaican food ever! Great food, great people and great prices!
Got the brown stewed chicken with beans and rice and cabbage. They skimped me on the cabbage but it was good! I would recommend it
Friendly receptionist. Prompt and efficient service. Enjoyed the goat curry & rice/beans with sweet potatoes. Small, with only two tables for sitting and eating in, but very chill place. Food was pricier than I expected, but good bang for buck.
First time at the restaurant and got a curry goat and jerk barbecue chicken. The lady at the counter was rude.I asked about the prices. I want to buy a small curry goat. She was short with me and her attitude was nasty to be at the counter. She said they don’t sell small at 4pm . The small was $11 and the large $13. When I got home the curry goat was salty and horrible. I had a stomach ache after the food and I didn’t finish it.it was not good. I threw it in the trash and I didn’t eat that much. I don’t even want to talk about the jerk barbecue and this is the next day
This place is a good option for Jamaican food if you’re in the city. There are only 2 tables so it is not ideal for dining in. We ordered the oxtails and curry goat for lunch. The oxtails were good, but the curry goat was delicious. We also ordered a side of the mac and cheese, and it was highly disappointing. It tasted like boiled noodles, with semi-melted shredded cheese on top. There are a few parking spots next to the restaurant, but the main option would be street parking which costs everyday except Sundays and holidays.
