Fred Meyer

The food is just okay, would be a 3star review except the location is excellent for stopping in at lunch for a quick bite, or grabbing something quick to settle the kids so the rest of the shopping can be done in peace. I don’t mean all the food is lacking, they have a few items that are just about perfect, just not everything.

Shopping at any Fred Meyer is great because literally everything can be found under one roof. The midtown location in Anchorage is especially convenient though as it is right on the Seward Highway making it an easy place to turn in and pick up last minute supplies or get gas when headed down the Inlet or the Peninsula. They have a Starbucks, Pharmacy, Jewelers and Electronics, Furniture and Garden Departments just to name a few. Their prepared foods and sandwiches are delicious and the folks who work there will walk you directly to an item, no matter where it is in the store, if you ask. Extremely friendly and helpful staff members!

Really happy about the vegan option like the vegan cream cheese. Only reason its not a higher rating is someone at the Customer Service center was rude to his coworker.

Fred Meyer has the best Pharmacy in Alaska! Always fast to fill my prescriptions and the staff is always friendly and informative

Best produce in town behind Sagaya. Cheaper than Carrs...

Several issues with this location. 1 Lots of pan handlers cruising the parking looking to score; 2 The bathrooms are filthy and need a deep clean; 3 The Starbucks appears to close at a drop of a hat - location is convenient to highway but a huge time waster when you can’t stop for coffee and fuel.

First of all, let me start with the lack of knowledge of their products. I am no expert, but I do eat, and I have some basic knowledge of brands and products. Do not expect anyone at Fred Meyers to answer any of your questions. Also, customer service has clearly not been taught in this store yet. I do not know why everyone in this store is so unhappy, but they are. Do not recommend this store for absolutely anything.

Wonderful selection of goods I'm pretty much a One-Stop shop for everything you could need but the staff, particularly the managers in the back are some of the rudest meanest most dispassionate people that I have ever met. Whoever the guy is who runs the back of house order pick-up is far and above a really cruel guy. Incredibly disrespectful, incredibly sexiest, and profoundly rude.

Located at Northern Lights and Seward highway, this Fred Meyer supermarket has just about anything you need, including restrooms and a gas station. Across from the new Safeway Carr's grocery and pharmacy. Your choice, both have good produce and meat. Fred Meyer may be a bit less expensive. Busy midtown area
