Free and Friendly Tours

We went to Nice on our honeymoon and neither of us had been there before. The price of the tour was obvious great, but our guide Tracy really went above and beyond to make the whole tour an amazing experience. She also had a young woman training with her whose name I forget, but she was also amazing. She took time to talk with us individually and both gave us gelato, restaurant, and general Nice/French Riviera recommendations that we loved. It was so great learning history about the city and what life is like there from a local. We also did the day trip to Monaco from Nice. We got lucky and had Tracy again for that tour. She is so friendly and personable. We had a small group and she took the time to talk to each of us and listened to our input on some aspects to personalize the tour a bit. Monaco was gorgeous; if you are visiting Nice, you should definitely spend a day there! If we had more time, we would have definitely taken more tours with this company. When we visit again, we will!

I love free walking tours, so always will join them. Was a nice stroll to the city and even up the hill to the ruins. Our guid was a lovely lady who's living and studying in Nice.

Tracy was an amazing guide. She was knowledgeable, attentive, energetic, and had a great personality. She answered any questions that people had, and seemed to love the job, which made the experience all the more enjoyable for all of us. She explained the history and interesting aspects of each of the places we visited, and made it fun and entertaining. She also made suggestions about great places we might want to go in Nice. Highly recommended.

On the morning of 26 October 2022, Cara gave us an excellent tour of Nice’s old town. She was super informative, helpful, and conversational. I absolutely recommend this tour to everyone visiting nice, you’ll get great recommendations and a historic overview of the city.

Tom gave us a very nice tour of Nice on Friday 26th August. He gave us A LOT of information even though his English was too good too fast for us to follow, the information we got was still a lot, all interesting. He was very professional, he did a very good job. We were happy to tip him.

Our tour guide, Cara, definitely give a informative and interesting tour. Love those stories and histories that happened in nice and the flower market and view. Highly recommended to take 2 hours to get a deeper understanding of this lovely city.

My best friend and I had such a wonderful experience on this walking tour and definitely appreciate the city so much more after learning some of its rich history! A must do for your time in Nice.

the beauty, charm, and history of nice can only truly be captured by the vibrant storytelling and excellent guidance of Cara. she was such a fun and sweet guide who showed us the best of what this amazing city has to offer, and i highly recommend this amazing tour with such an experienced guide!

Of course one can’t complain too much of a free tour tips are obviously and rightly expected though… but I will do to correct the current near-5-star rating. Having been to great free tours elsewhere in Europe, this one was lacklustre—or at least not to my taste: the fact it was built mostly on anecdotes, told through quizzes, and had 2x 15 min breaks within an hour suggests it is made for a lazier or younger audience. I can’t fault the guide’s attitude, though.
