Terrible customer service! My daughter was carrying around 5 items. 2 sales girls were walking around never offered to assist her. She went to the dressing room and came out to show me the way a dress looked, one of the sales girls looked at her. I mentioned to my daughter she needed a different size, salesgirl did not offer to bring her one, but I did ask the salesgirl to bring her another size. She did but seemed reluctant. If it had not been items my daughter really wanted, I would of walked out. Hated that we spend over 300 in a store with terrible customer service. Cashier was made aware of the terrible customer service we received downstairs. Pictures to reflect store was not busy while we were in there.
I never leave reviews… ever. But in this case, I have to! Whenever l visit the city I love coming to this Free People shop. The staff is exceptionally friendly and warm, it makes the experience so much more filling! Even though the physical space is smaller than other Free People locations, therefore having less clothes in the shop, I always buy the most pieces in this one since I have such a nice time trying on clothes and interacting with the staff. 10 out of 10!!!!!!!
This feels like a younger loose fitting laid back clothing store for women. They are somewhat similar to Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie. Unique decorations and cool environment enhanced by good music and aromas.
Gorgeous shop and helpful sales girl at the changing rooms ! I bought more than I needed. But I’ll keep them forever!
I like this location... it's always clean and their sale section is always well stocked. I like that they have shoes time to time too! staff has improved over the years, so I am happy about that. Staff is now friendly and no longer catty! The location is always clean and I love their displays.
This establishment is horrible. I was treated extremely poorly outside of help from Nancy and Emma. I came into the store on Tuesday, July 13 in the afternoon to do some summer trip shopping. Immediately upon entrance I am followed check the cameras! incessantly by one employee, while other employees quite literally ignore me. One even bumped into me without apology or greeting. Nancy was the first employee to make eye-contact and ask me if I needed any help I did, I had an armful of clothes I wanted to try on. At some point during my time in the dressing room, Nancy went to take a break. The person who took over for her brown haired in a paisley red dress wearing boots, turquoise nail polish, who also happened to be the person who bumped into me without acknowledgement-- CHECK THE CAMERAS was nasty and rude with me-- even after I made it clear that my intention was to buy items do other customers have to do this to receive good customer service?. I came out of a the dressing room asking for help with sizes since my call for help from my dressing room was ignored. As I am asking for help from this new person who does not introduce herself or respond to me when I ask her name, she wrinkles her nose at me, proceeds to CUT ME OFF as I'm talking to help another customer who just showed up to the dressing room. I was literally mid-sentence. No, "could you hold on for one second" or anything from her. She proceeds to help several other customers no problem at all!! Things get busy. Maybe just let ME know, as I was the one you were helping first!. FINALLY, she come back to me and asks me - quite rudely- if I "actually" plan to buy anything. I'm confused by this, as I started our initial dialogue with "I'm planning to buy all of these items. I would like to check sizes in these items or see if they're in another store for purchase," but no problem things are busy. But also, is it appropriate for a sales associate to ask a customer that? **Full review in photo. ** review is too long, attached in photos.
I saw a beautiful beanie online that was also involved in the 50% flash sale. And before I knew it, it sold out. I called customer service to see if they had any left or if they could see if a store near me still had it in stock. The lady on the other end of the line was nasty to me and said if she doesn't have it in stock, the stores won't either. That didn't really make sense in my head so I decided to explore more. This hat is that pretty!! I called free people 5th Ave today to see if they had the beanie in the particular color I wanted. While I was put on a brief hold- the ladies found the beanie and held it for me til I could pick it up in store! When I got to Free people, my beanie was behind the desk. I asked the manager if the 50% flash sale was still happening for said beanie. She replied that unfortunately the sale ended yesterday. I then told her about my phone call with customer service and how the lady wouldn't try to help me. The manager behind the counter honored the 50% off flash sale right then and there! No questions asked. Very sweet and I couldn't be more happy with the service I received today
Staff were helpful and I found what I wanted at a reasonable price. I did feel a little fat, as the sizes really cater to very thin women. But that's sort of a problem endemic of the fashion industry in general.
Finding something that you like at Free People is a toss up. Their look is hippie and free spirited but every once in awhile you could find something cool and edgy. Their accessorices are always a win and the sale racks always offer something decent at a discounted price. Shop is nicely decorated and it is always a pleasant shopping experience even if you only browse the store for 10 minutes.
