I’ve never written a bad review in my life but this was comically bad. I ordered chicken strips and fries for $17+ at 7pm and this is what I got this is completely uneaten I just moved the fries out of the way for the photo. It was a long day of not eating during a work trip so I was starving. I got 4 really small chicken strips and a load of fries. It was pretty bad. This place has great reviews otherwise so I definitely feel like it was just the time of day Tuesday night
Got a spicy chicken sandwich and some 'little chicks'. I will say it was well worth the stop and money. It was very good, perfect spice level, fresh toppings and overall a great meal. I would happily stop again of I am in the area!
Wanted tacos on a Sunday afternoon but the place was closed. Luckily for me I got to experience this phenomenal place. Ordered the freebyrd wings with honey hot sauce and onion rings. The sauce was the perfect amount of sweet and hot and I’m not a spicy or hot fan. I asked for light sauce as well. Onion rings prepared nicely…golden and crispy. Chicken wings were fresh and cage free! Customer service was spot on, friendly, informative and welcoming. Not a long wait and not many people inside which was nice to be able to comfortably social distance and enjoy the food in peace. Extremely happy to have found this sweet jawn!
Since the Bourse is mostly a lunch destination, it's nice that this place is open a little later. The sandwich is good. Chicken is cripsy and the sauce is flavorful.Food: 5/5
Simply delicious. Highly recommend if you’re nearby independence hall. The chicken fingers are tender and full of flavor.Recommended dishesChicken-In-The-Box and Cole Slaw
I had a traditional fried chicken sandwich and it was amazing. Juicy, crispy, tender, good bun, veggies were fresh. The spiced curly fries were also delicious. It was made to order, took a second but was honestly worth the wait. Highly recommend.
Best fried chicken sandwich I have had and I've had many! Tender, crispy and juicy idk how they do it but it's amazing. + tall boy or PBR / Miller Lite = $4
We were in The Bourse the other night, and while there aren't as many options in the later hours, I was still interested in the options. Freebyrd looked like it had potential and I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich from what I saw. Maybe it was the time of night, but the sandwich didn't really do it. The upside was it was ready quickly. I also think it was indicative of what I was getting... A piece of chicken that had been cooked and was sitting to keep warm. It had a very crunchy coating that was a bit bland. The roll seemed to be buttered, but was so toasted that I was trying to figure out if it was stale since it broke apart while trying to eat it. Again, maybe it was since we were towards the end of the day, but for a $9.99 sandwich, this was very disappointing.
I know The Bourse is overpriced, but for $12 Chicken in the box, you get 5 chicken strips, not counting 2 different sauces I liked the white one and a tiny cup of cole slaw. The cole slaw is interesting, it is salty and reminiscent of an alcoholic drink, not sweet at all. I did like the chicken, but not enough to come back. Those of you who day this is the best chicken sandwich need to try Stock Rittenhouse chicken pho sandwich.
The chicken sandwiches that can be bought have the best options that can be chosen. Each chicken sandwich had unique and amazing ingredients to them. I'd give the place a 10/10 and I hope I'd come back for more.
