Story

Our Story...

In 2006, as the real estate market prepared to implode, Neal Johnson recognized he was in a unique position to be able to assemble a powerful and dynamic real estate team. He maintained that valuation and legal services, while critical in any real estate market, would be essential in the industry's future. He was right.

Together with his wife, Melinda Johnson, they launched Freedom First Properties. This creative combination brought together Neal’s experience in property valuation along with Melinda’s experience and training as a corporate lawyer and small business consultant. Their unique brokerage concept soon caught the attention of local homeowners, family law attorneys and investors alike.

In order to meet client requests, they soon added property management and escrow divisions to their list of services. Since inception, Freedom First Properties has enjoyed substantial year after year growth. Today the company provides real estate services in Orange County and parts of Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties.

Melinda and Neal attribute the success of the company to the exceptional and diverse services they can offer, to working with a team of people who love what they do and who are committed to doing the right thing, and to very loyal and satisfied customers who have become lifelong clients.
