This was great! We went on the freedom trail tour with Isaiah Thomas last weekend. My husband and I actually missed the first tour we were trying to attend and went to the next one with Isaiah and we are happy we did! He was a great guide and so funny. It was our first time in Boston and this tour was a great way to get to learn the history of Boston. This was a fun and entertaining 90min tour. This was throughly enjoyed.
OUTSTANDING TOUR THAT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Our guide had college degrees in history and theater and was so incredibly funny and knew everything there was to know about historic Boston. We laughed a lot, learned a lot and recommend this tour to everyone going to Boston. A real highlight our time there. Covers alot of ground so bring comfortable shoes.
Our tour guide, Dr. Joseph Warren was FANTASTIC! He kept the tour engaging and was not boring at all, which is really important since the tour is about 90 mins long. He was very informative and cracked a lot of jokes. He answered all our questions and brought the history to life! Highly recommend going on tour w him if you can!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20
This was absolutely fantastic. The guide "SAMUEL PRESCOTT" was funny and very informative and was great with kids. I would do this again in a heartbeat. Make sure to go have a cold Samuel Adams beer while looking at a cold Samuel Adams grave! GROANVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$16–20
Do yourself a favor and make sure you take a tour from "Phillis Wheatley." She is knowledgeable about history from the standpoint of someone who actually studied American History in grad school, and isn't regurgitating the dumbed-down, largely misleading, "history" taught in grade school. She is intelligent, witty, and doesn't shy away from commentary that challenges the status quo. She is the most engaging and knowledgeable tour guide I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. She is hysterical, and makes American History accessible for people who don't fit the "white conservative male" mold--you know, the people our history books were written for.
Wonderful tour and the guide really knew his history. Learned a lot more about the ride to warn of the British, as well as many other history facts. Definitely worth the tour.
My brother and I enjoyed the FT tour with Issaiah Thomas this afternoon! It was windy and cold but he kept us entertained and absorbed in Boston history the whole time! We were sad for it to end but grateful we decided to spend the 16 dollars on this wonderful trip through time!
Went on a walking tour with our guide "Nathaniel Hutchins" AKA Matthew. He was informative, friendly, and funny. Well worth the price of admission. The walk was not long at all but packed in a ton of information for the 1.5 hour tour.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$16–20
Went as part of a university group, and was pleased by the intimate nature of the tour. Isaiah Thomas was an excellent and knowledgeable guide and provided great insight into events both current and historical. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city for the first time!Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 min
We loved our tour with “Christopher Gore.” Very informative, speckled throughout with humor, and rich in detail. We learned so much! A few tips: dress warm if it’s chilly we were glad we brought our hats and scarves, wear comfortable shoes, and stay near the front of the group to ensure you can hear the guide. Highly recommend this incredible learning experience.
