Freshway Mediterranean Grill

One day I hope to be able to raise my own chickens, both for meat and for eggs. But that train hasn't pulled into the station yet. So in the mean time I try and look for the best places to source my meats and right now one place that's got my attention is Freshway Marketplace in Upland, CA. Tucked away in the heart of the Inland Empire, Freshway is a real gem. The meat is remarkably delicious and thus meets pun intended! not only my gastronomic standards, but my ethical ones as well. If you're anywhere near the IE, don't be fooled by its outside appearance; the meat is top quality. And while the owner, Ahmed, doesn't always have every single cut of meat, I have found he's more than willingly to accommodate your requests and can generally acquire what you want.

Great food. But if you're in a hurry call ahead of time they stick to traditional process. Flavor on point food and on point its the real thing.

Love this market specifically for the meat department. Their meat is always fresh and competitively priced. The butchers are friendly and accommodating. Definitely a plus being able to have my meat cut and packaged the way I want it. Overall, the store is relatively clean and organized. Great service as well! The owner is kind and humble, and he always treats his customers like they're all his long-time friends.

Freshway MarketPlace 916 N Mountain Ave, Upland, CA 91786 Never do business at this establishment. The owner Khalil accused me of insulting him 2 months ago, which never happened. He was missonginistic to my wife and mother, and told them not to speak. I've lived my entire life in Southern California, and never have received such piggish treatment from anyone.

I love the chicken shawerma plate or sandwich there! Excellent quality and reasonably priced. The service is very good too. The place is clean has a good variety of middle-eastern & some international products and groceries. The staff is friendly, bilingual/multi-lingual English & Arabic, some staff speak Spanish/English as well and take care of customers in a timely manner.

We shop at a few meat stores once a week and this is one of them. It's a nice store, pretty clean and has good meat selections. They also have middle eastern, Indian/ Pakistani spices, and fresh produce. If you're hungry you always order kabob from their kitchen, buy 1 get the second plate for half price, so for $15 you get 2 kabob plates, good deal.

Great Food at the to go counter! We ordered the chicken kabob plate and loved it. We haven't found a Mediterranean to go place since we moved from LA. It's great to have this on a night when you don't want to cook but want a well balanced meal! We loved the chili sauce on the hummus a nice addition and we really liked the rice. We will definitely be back!

Clean store , employee was polite and helpful as to informing me of the location of products that i needed ,,, Also store offers a variety of Middle Eastern ,,North /East African products that our family eats. So Pleased that The Freshway Market Place is located in Upland...

Wonderful market!!! The store is under new ownership so the old negative reviews should not apply. Great variety of middle eastern groceries fresh and frozen, fresh meats, and produce. The owner is very friendly and the butcher is very accommodating. The market and meat area is also very clean.
