Really was excited for their vegan sandwich, but kind of sad when I got it, it was not a panini but more like toasted bread the inside was not pressed or warm, and it was pretty soggy and fell apart. My husband’s non-vegan sandwich looked better and was much bigger too see the pics which was kind of weird. I would say it was a little disappointing but considering it is a bodega, not super surprising.
If I could give it zero starts I would. I ordered through grubhub. They have their name on grubhub as something that isnt even their name. I cant even make a review there because they wont say that they delivered my food- which is sketchy for mulptible reasons- and is locking me out from writing a review there. I waited almost 2 hours for my food. It said it would take 25 minutes to get to me, after waiting an additional half an hour I called the restaurant and they said my food was ready but they were waiting for a driver. 40 Minutes later I got call from a man saying that my food was there but refused to come up and deliver it to me- instead made me come downstairs to get it and didn't even wait to give it to me, he left it on-top of the packages near the lobby of my building- not even with my doorman. The food looks terrible - and I'm too sketched out to even eat it.
FALSE PRICING - beware if you buy anything from here and be sure to check the prices of the items as they're scanned. Most recently, I grabbed a bottle of dishwasher detergent that was clearly labeled at $7.49 and took to the cash register, where it was priced at $9.99! It took a lengthy argument with the store clerk and me pointing to the price tag at the shelf to convince him that they are trying to overcharge me by 33%. They told me that the shelf showed the "old price," which had not yet been updated. I had to remind them multiple times that a posted price must be honored, period. They finally gave up and "generously" gave it to me at the "old price". Considering that this happened to me twice, this is clearly a scheme to defraud customers. Do not shop here! It is not worth the hassle.
If you wanted a beer or snacks before meeting your friends in the park, go elsewhere. Freshy's won't place orders for inventory with women--and they said so. Do they know women brew, package, and deliver beer? Do they know many of the food they sell was grown, harvested, baked, packaged, marketed, and delivered by women?
Believe the reviews about waiting hours and not receiving your order.. I thought people were exaggerating and placed an order on Seamless. Placed it a little before 7pm with a delivery of 7:50-8pm. Called around 8:15 bc I hadn’t heard anything and was told they’d be there in 20mins or less. By 9pm I called to ask if the delivery driver left yet bc if not I wanted to cancel the order. Was told he had left and they were reaching out to see where he left the order. After checking everywhere to see if maybe it was delivered and I wasn’t called but found nothing. Mind you no one ever reached out to say they called the driver. Called to cancel the order but didn’t trust they would cancel it and give me a refund so I also ended up contacting Seamless.
Such nice people. Wonderful vegan wraps!!! Good prices. Thank you!
I always appreciate the options when it comes to beer, but my last three orders from Freshy’s were well Out Of Code, albeit harder to find beers. Closer attention to shelf-life/rotation would service your beer geeks/import lovers/domestic die-hards alike. Delivery man is always very cordial and warm.
Literally accepted a delivery for no reason. I waited for 2 hours for absolutely nothing. They offered me a refund but my order wasnt cheap to begin with so now I’m out of money and no order. Absolutely useless
Not your typical NYC bodega...def. feels more upscale and the selection and prices reflect that. Amazing beer selection, which was the primary reason for me to cross the street and come here, vs. going down stairs to Duke Ellingtons
Hi Prakas... I left you ONE bad Seamless review and you blocked me?! Instead of improving how you conduct your business, you chose to deny service to a patron who who spent at least $75/wk because after a year of business... she finally put her foot down and asked you to manage your inventory properly or offer some incentive Shame on you. Call records will show the many times Freshy’s/Farmers Market called me to report items not in inventory. I let it slide every time except for the last time - this time I was annoyed because I was asked to spend more than what I actually needed. Google reviews CAN be amended.
