This was a great place for our first experience of food in New York. We went with the recommendation to choose a place with good reviews and stars. We were not disappointed by this restaurant, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding!

Friedman's on Amsterdam Avenue is a great place for lunch. The menu is not too big, but with a good selection of tasty dishes. Their burgers are generous. Specially recomended is their veggie sandwich with avocado and a lot of other good stuff. It might be crowded during their busiest hours. Very nice and able people working there.
Good laid-back vibe, music. Straight forward simple casual American menu. Burgers & fries, sandwiches. Gonna try spare rib burger w bacon next time. Nice spot for lunch.
