I was on vacation in O'ahu and had broken three of my UV Gel nails. This salon was close to where I was staying so I went in to get my previous nails removed and get a gel manicure on my regular nails. The nail tech, Lisa, was so helpful and did a great job! She was not familiar with the previous nail application I had on my nails because it is different from what they typically use on the island vs where I am from but she had patience and was able to do exactly what I wanted. She also gave me great advice on some places to eat and sightsee on the island.
Started out good my toes and hands looked pretty.after 2 days my gel polish peeled off , I ended up breaking a nailmy fault my 4th day I decided to go back and ask them to fix . They were Accommodating but laughed and talked about me . in their language, made me feel uncomfortablethe tech that fixed my nails asked me ,what do I do with my hands that my polish didn’t last. I replied everyday stuff . This would be my first time from any salon I’ve been to that gel nail polish peel off like that. Will not be returning. I do not appreciate the low key rudeness.
I was on vacation in Hawaii and cracked a nail. Call the salon they told me to come over they fix my nail and told me no charge. Of course I had to tip them. Great experience. Aloha
I’ve tried a few other nail salons in town and keep coming back here!! They have a great atmosphere and do Great work!! I’m always changing nail shape/color/lengths and no matter my request they always get it done!! I bring my son 3years with me every time and they are always accommodating him!!
Very upset about the while thing I left with a red face angry that I paid that much for nothing. I asked for a foot message and all she wanted to do was talk story and ask about my whole life while I just wanted to relax. Asked me to set a timer on my phone and stopped messaging me everytime she asked a question. She never even messaged my foot just got to one leg and charged me extra for the second leg in which she never finished the time but I was charged for it. She Kim just complained about her back the whole time and proceeded to talk about how big my legs were and didn't even wash my feet. She just soaked my feet in water clipped my toe nail and painted. Super basic didn't even scrub the bottom of my feet..... Not worth $60Service: Pedicure
All anyone wants when they go for a pampering of any kind, is to be cared for. So many times I've been to a business that is open to "serve the customer" and have felt like I was either a burden or inconvenience just by showing up. Perhaps an employee has a bad day and that's understandable but it does kind of ruin the 'experience' when you receive a poor one. Today, my experience at Friendly Nails here in Kailua, was anything but poor. They saw me right away for my walk in request for a pedicure and assigned me a lovely woman named Yen as my pedicure specialist. Yen was gentle, thorough, thoughtful and skilled. I'm very happy to review/report this establishment as one who knows and exhibits the definition of customer service and customer care. Looking forward to returning.Service: Pedicure
Do NOT go to this place. I am having to see a podiatrist due to an infection in my toe because of dirty tools used for my pedicure. Swollen toe within 24 hours. I was looking for a nail salon and saw that many people recommended this place due to Danny. I texted him but was told to have a girl named Kiana do my nails and pedicure. She was very nice however my manicure is “flooded”, uneven shape and gel dried uneven due to rushing and light not being on. “Flooded” meaning polish over the cuticle where when it grows out it will catch on things. I did not see tools cleaned at all. I have been getting my nails done for 15 years and have never experienced this. I spent $109 for an infection and uneven/“flooded” nails.
Everyone there is very nice and have great customer service. Danny is AMAZING! Gave me the best full set I've ever had. Simple, but very clean and neat!
Love Danny Le he is a five star nail technician. The pedicures on the other hand ... Meh... It is extremely quick . The massage is kind more of a rub lotion on your leg. I got a gel Pedi and all together it took 15 minutes... Maybe it was just the lady I went too. But I won't be going back for a pedicure.
Danny is an amazing manicurist. He is actually an Artist Engineer of Nail Design. Sit in front of him and tell him to do his thing and he will come up with an amazing, modern, and beautiful design. You would not have thought of doing this design. He does funky, fun designs and can actually write script on your nails. I had Kanji and Chinese characters on my nails. If you have something in mind, he will Design for you a master piece. His prices are fair and he does his work in a quick and professional manner. Break a nail? Stop in a he will fix it! Not just a quick fix but repairing it to match the others including the original nail design. His staff is friendly thus the name "Friendly Nails ". I have been told that it is difficult to "see" Danny. Yes, he is quite busy. It is near impossible to walk in and requst his services. Just call and make an appointment with him. His staff is available for walk ins but it's best to make an appointment to have Danny's services. I believe he accepts new clients. I will not go to another nail salon. I have found my happy place right here in Kailua. Right now, my nails and I are taking a healing break. During a recent hospital stay, my nails cracked and my finger tips bled. Danny texted me to check on my health, wished me well and said he hopes to see me again. Of course Danny! In a month. Ill need beautiful nails when I go on my Cruise to Canada! I can hardly wait! Mahalo Danny for sharing your knowledge and expertise with your loyal customers! Your loyal client Haruko
