About

The Full Employment Council, Inc. is the managing entity/fiscal agent of the Missouri Job Centers for the Kansas City Region on behalf the Kansas City & Vicinity WDB and and Eastern Jackson County WDB.

Story

There are 14 Workforce Regions in Missouri which are led by a Local Workforce Development Board (WDB). The Full Employment Council, Inc. is the fiscal agent and one-stop operator of two Local WDBs in the Greater Kansas City area: Kansas City & Vicinity (KCV) WDB, which includes Kansas City, Missouri, and Cass, Clay, Platte, and Ray Counties in Mis-souri; and Eastern Jackson County (EJC) WDB, which includes Independence, Missouri, and areas in Jackson County excluding Kansas City.

Mission

The Full Employment Council is a business-led, private, nonprofit corporation whose mission is to obtain public and private sector employment for the unemployed and underemployed residents of the Greater Kansas City area. The Full Employment Council accomplishes this goal by working in collaboration with businesses, local units of government, educational institutions, labor and community-based organizations. This partnership responds to employer needs while reducing unemployment, underemployment and the public dependency of area residents.
