Jenna and Rachel are awesome. We weren't sure about hiring a doula until we were lucky enough to have a birth class with them. We learned a lot, including how much they could help us through the entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum periods. We interviewed other doulas but Jenna was an easy choice especially knowing that Rachel was her backup. Jenna was an incredible doula. She is super warm, very knowledgable, and totally flexible. She was excellent in working with us as a couple, working with our care team at the hospital, coordinating family members, and helping us care for the baby. She helped us plan everything, helped us change our plans, and helped us feel better about all the changes we had to make. She went above and beyond on several occasions to help us, like the time she showed up at our house on short notice with bags of donor milk when we were disoriented and exhausted shortly after coming home with the baby. We can't express how incredible Jenna has been throughout our journey so far.
I don't even know where to begin. These guys are beyond amazing. We had hired Jenna as our doula about two weeks before we found out the most heartbreaking news of our lives: that we needed an emergency induction and our baby boy wouldn't make it. I notified Jenna and the next day she came over and talked us through everything. It was my first pregnancy and Jenna was available to answer all of my questions and really put both myself and my husband and my mom at ease. I was nervous enough going through my first pregnancy and delivery, but the added heartbreak made the whole situation a whole lot harder. A couple days later I was induced. Jenna was there the entire time. It's impossible to describe how much we needed her there. While doctors and nurses were coming in and out, Jenna explained our next steps in the birthing process while bringing so much calmness to what was hardest thing either my husband or myself had ever experienced. We couldn't have done it without her. When looking for a doula, we wanted an advocate, a strong but calm presence, and someone who could offer us information and options. We got that and so much more with Jenna. We have more preganacies and births in our furure and Jenna will always be our number one choice.
Jenna has been a lifesaver as a postpartum overnight doula for us and our newborn. She teaches us more and more every time she comes over. I’d suggest every new parent consider this service.
Do yourself a favor and toss out your gift registry- all that stuff you think you need can be gathered from buy nothing. The best money I spent during our early days with baby number two was with Jenna and Rachel. They stayed for three days, doing back to back shifts after our son was born, providing amazing nutritious food, breastfeeding support, and laughter during a tender time. I was sad to see them leave, but in their wake they left a fridge full of food and a closet full of clean and folded laundry and the contact info for a great lactation consultant. Do I wish they had never left? Yes! But if they hadn't, I couldn't recommend them here. These two are the real deal, and will make your birth or postpartum period smooth and relatively chill. Hilarious, smart, and a collective treasure trove of birth and postpartum knowledge. Five stars!
