The store has a large selection, but at the same time was just overly crowded with "stuff," making it difficult to navigate without running into something or someone. They have a cashier who could use some training on how to interact with the public. The person in line in front of me got a lecture 5+ mins on the FYE rewards program. The next register opened up and the cashier asked if I had heard the other guy's "speech," which I had. He asked if I was a member and I said no and wasn't interested. That should have been the end of it...but it wasn't. I understand it's a part of the job, but I could have done without the snide comments.
We've all been there! Trying to find the perfect gift for someone. I've spent as long as 30mins before trying to do just that. Finally an awesome employee comes along to help you pinpoint the item you are looking for right? Well, in this case that didn't happen. This employee named "Sid" ask after about 10-15mins goes by if he can help find anything. He was told that the item was going to be for a grandmother's birthday. Then he asked, "well what does she like?" Now let's stop right there... Everyone knows people are fans of more than just one thing right? Other options are available ya know. Back to the rant, with many things in mind he was told the first thing that seemed the most important. Almost immediately after, "Sid" said, "well we don't have anything like that here. Maybe you can try another store." He was thanked and was told that would be the next stop. Before any other options could be explored, "Sid" began to walk forwards slowly as to motion towards the exit. Turning around and walking forward he followed all the way to the exit. At this point, I'm sure you know the feeling Sid was giving. One could never feel more guilty of absolutely nothing then by being seemingly forced to leave because one took too long gift shopping. If it weren't for the fact that there are many other items of ones own interest, "the customer" would never set foot into that store ever again. However, they won't be returning for a long time. Thanks "Sid" for the bad impression and terrible store experience!
We walked in, the person in front of us traded in some movies. She asked him for cash or credit, he said cash. She gave him cash, but when we got up to her we were trading in some movies we told her that we would like to sell some movies. And she told us that they wouldn't trade then for cash anymore. And she obviously was lying because the person in front of us traded his movies for cash. Waste of time if you ask me.
The manager was very unhelpful, almost spiteful. A deal was on display where you can buy a $25 gift card and recieve a $10 dollar bonus stuff. $5 bonus bucks and a $5 Beatles tote free. They didn't have any of the bonus bucks in stock and wouldn't even let me buy the tote, after telling me I could purchase the tote not free? with the deal. When I commented to the cashier, I was told "Welcome to my world". I'm not going back, and I work at the mall.
I bought a Blurryface vinyl for $45 and paid a few extra dollars for 2-year insurance in case the record got scratched or broken. When I got home, I used the code on my receipt to register for the insurance, as instructed by the cashier. It said that my code was invalid, so I assumed that maybe my purchase hadn't gone through yet. About a week later, I tried again and nothing happened. I travel a lot, so I never found the opportunity to pay a visit back to f.y.e. and ask for help and I eventually lost the receipt. Also, I found that beautiful colored Blurryface vinyls were being sold for HALF the price that I paid for mine. Mine is boring ol' black, while I could've gotten white w/ black splattered or half-red, half-black. I don't think I'll ever buy a vinyl from fye ever again. Most of the time that I go in there, the service is terrible anyway.
Super awesome experience a very sweet lady opened the door and talked to my son about Godzilla and king kong and she ended up buying him a chocolate bar with godzilla and kong on it super awesome experience
The manager is VERY RUDE, especially if you have a coupon! The fat b#*ch is hateful. Her name is Carrie. Buyers Beware, if she's working...Leave and use Amazon or Ebay. I'm a VIP cardholder and she still treats me like s#it!
I haven't had horror stories with the staff like other reviewers, but the store always feels dirty and doesn't always smell great.
Products were as expected but staff was not friendly, after my first visit into the store I caught the staff member staring at myself and my wife ferevorously
They have a good selection and if its not there they can help u locate it but they are under staffed so I waited in line for 15 mins before being checked out.
