Really sad this place is going out of business. Just found it a week before they closed and it is a gem. The guy working there was super nice. And in all my years of collecting retro games those were the cheapest controllers originals I've ever gotten and they were just as good as a new one that would run me over $60. I'll be sure to stop there at least one more time before they close.
One of the few local places left you can buy a used game system in good condition. Many systems to choose from. Lots of deals from bogo 1/2 to b2g1 free. Not super clean. Not a very large selection. Will buy old games or accessories, but only gives about 30-40% what they sell them for, don't expect much. In store credit is not much more either, closer to 5-8% more than cash offer. In store credit should be closer to 15-20% more than cash if they really want to make a quicker sale! Overall would come back, a few decent finds. East side location closed, this is only one left. Cool keychains, better prices than walmart for almost everything.
Perhaps the best retro game selection in the city. Other retro stores are chopped full of sports title garbage. This one has actual games that people want. I've bought a lot of titles there and have been pleased!
I really like this place because I would rather buy a used game and play it when I can than rack up late fees on a rental. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the rewards program they have kinda stinks. After spending $100 you get a $14.95 game free but most games are just over that price on XB1 at least. They are unwilling to let you pay the difference, they say to check back cause prices always change but they rarely do I have been waiting on 1 game to drop roughly one dollar for over 6 months.
The guys that run this store are just as enthusiastic as they are awesome! Excellent knowledge base and they made my experience so enjoyable that they've made a customer for life by me! Their prices are very reasonable and their variety is unmatched!
I needed a power cord for my xbox 1. Got it 2 months ago and it stopped working today. I called them and the guy said i needed a receipt. I asked cant you tell from the unit or if i show my bank statement he said no. All i wanted to do was trade it. I wasn't asking for money back
i remember going to this place as a kid, they had everything from the original play station the wii at the time they even sometimes had a nes, they had tons of games ranging from nes to wii, they had every controller on that spectrum to! if your game was scratched, they would fix it instore right then and there, im not sure if its changed, since i havent been there since then, but i recomend it greatly!
Bought an off brand power brick for an xbox one. The thing played movies for a day then when a game was tried the thing blew up and flashed red. Tried to return it, didnt have receipt wouldn't do exchange or anything. Could be why theres never any traffic when I go there. Shouldve read the reviews first.
I went in to buy two N64 controllers and the guy told me I could bring them back within 90 days. I opened them and tried to play games on them and the analogs barely move. The controllers were terrible quality. They won't let me return them because there are "no defects" even though it has only been 5 days. They basically trap you to keep your money.
Not a ton of classic games, but I got lucky and found one at a decent price. Overall pricing on quality games is a smidge higher than I feel it should be, but selection, condition, and warrant all are good.
