This place is delish! Almost made the mistake of not stopping here. So much food - the combo plate is definitely enough for 2 large meals. If you have an auntie or uncle, this is what they would cook for you - you can feel the love in each bite.
Really good food to warm you up on a cold day. We got to try samples of all the curry before ordering! Loved speaking with the owner and learning this business has been around for 27 years! Highly recommend you visit.
Lunch combo plate is tasty and priced nicely. I've had better Naan. If they could improve that I would have given 5 stars on the food. Owner is very friendly and respectful. Dinning area is dated and dark Vegetarian options: They have veg options
Good food at affordable price! We ordered Veg Lunch Thali - Choice of 4 dishes with a generous serving of rice and naan for just $12. Can't complain on the portion and taste. DO NOT Expect great ambience. Just a good enough place in downtown to have a decent affordable lunch.
Every time I come here I wonder why I don't go every week, the food is so good and the folks are so nice. And after the food court they were in got sold and then the pandemic I'm so thrilled they're still here making delicious food for us.
I am glad that I found this restaurant. Food was so soooo delicious and staff is very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this to everyone and I ll keep going from now on… cozy and best I would say. Dietary restrictions: They have vegan foods non vegetarian and vegetarian foods as well We can choose 2/3 different gravy s and try it out.
Had dinner with my friends...The food was served hot and quick...The tastes and spices were just perfect....one of the must try if u will ever visit portland and u r looking for desi indian dishes.
This restaurant has been a favorite for a very long time. The sauces especially the vindaloo! are incredible and the portions are immense. Lunch service is done cafeteria style so it is always fast but it is also very fresh and there are a lot of choices.
I wish they would go back to the vegan / vegetarian / non-vegetarian clear labeling they used to have. But that aside, remains a place to get a quick, generous, reasonable price meal downtown during lunch time
Great atmosphere, great service, ok food. All dishes were under-salted a chronic problem in the current culinary state of society which neutered all of the natural flavors. We tried seven different entrées and while the textures we're good, the flavors were far too subtle and the spicy dishes were overwhelmed with spice because of that. Hot tip: be sure to order hot fresh Naan, whether you want plain or garlic. The standing naan from the buffet is not the way to go.
