I truly enjoyed my day here. I plan to come back and spend the day alone as well. We enjoyed all of the sauna rooms and various rooms throughout the facility. I did not get a massage but that’s on the agenda next visit. It was a great experience for my husband and I. My only complaint was others talking loudly - but that’s hard to control I’m sure. Overall satisfied.
My spa experience was relaxing and nice. There were all necessary spa amenities: different kind of saunas both in a women zone and common one, foot spa, oxygen, salt and ice rooms. Calm relax zones with massage chairs and places to mediate or read, sleep. Also there were three pools in a women sauna zone with three different temperatures. Prices in the buffet was quite high and dishes were ordinary. Be ready to walk all over the spa without your shoes, even indoor ones as it is not allowed to be in shoes all over the spa, even in the buffet. I think it is a bit weird and uncomfortable. I’ll recommend the staff to think about providing or permitting people take indoor shoes.
We had an amazing half day here... We bought our vouchers online and just dropped in around mid day.no booking required. It was a bit busy, smooth check in, staff at the desk were nice and friendly, she have us all we needed and off we went. Place is clean, tidy and well spaced out. Even though there were lots of people onsite it didn't feel crowded. We all had an amazing time. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Pleasant experience, had the one hour body scrub and LOVED IT!! The first one that blows my mind It was nice to stretch in the sauna, proceed to the womens locker room for my soak 15-30 mins prior to my scheduled scrub make sure to make reservations & then enjoyed it to the fullest They went IN!! i left that place without any dead skin cells on my body! The oil massage afterwards & the sheet mask left my skin hydrated and plumped. Then i proceed to the ice room to close my pores prior to changing in the locker room & headed out to dinner. It was the perfect pre-date experience
Most of the common areas are relaxing. Some of them need attention and the foot bath area does have a pretty bad smell. It takes a while to check in if there is anyone in front of you. They are strict about no shoes but the staff walks around with street shoes on. I had the worst massage ever here. The room didn't seem well maintained and the lady I had left the door wide open during my service. She even left the room FOUR times to tend to the front desk or talk to friends and didn't add any time to my service!!! Definitely not worth the hype.
If you live in the Houston area and have not given yourself a treat here, you just need to. This place is beautiful and eventful. When you are coming here, please don’t be in a hurry, you need about 4-5 hours to explore all the spa treatment; steam, cold, clay, etc .It is good for both male and female, it is an exciting place, you can go with group of friends to make it more fun, you can also stay all by yourself if you just want to relax, there is a cinema section and you can watch Netflix, there is a Korean restaurant too and you will love the food. It’s about $35 during the week to enjoy this service.nice customer service too.
This is my first time patronizing Gangnam spa. The layout is a bit smaller but has elegance to the atmosphere than Jeju Spa in Atlanta. The prices are a bit higher than Jeju. I think Mondays are a good day to go to Gangnam spa. Very least populated. My meal of Japchae took a long time to prepare. The serving size was rather small and unspectacular for the exorbiant price of $16.99. I do NOT recommend the combo massages, however I do recommend the body wash/scrub. I felt the massage was poorly executed. It felt like slap slap, push push, pull pull, rub rub.... the masseus did this over the towel, which was perplexing. No skin to skin contact except for 15 min hot oil and hot stones. The stones she placed on my back kept falling off. The bathroom was not conveniently nearby. She kept the door propped a bit open while I was naked. I felt uncomfortable because it was in the co-ed section whereas the body wash is in the women's and men's area. While taking a shower before soaking in these tubs, they had the shampoo available, I tried 3 stalls for the conditioner, all were empty. As I exited, there was a young girl using her phone in the dressing area, I reminded her to use her phone in the bathroom stalls to guarantee the privacy and security of other women's nakedness. She rebuffed. I called her out to the front desk attendant. Two of them came and escorted her out to the common area. Will I go again? I'm still on the fence with that establishment. I'll look into San Antonio....or Dallas
I love this place. Super clean, super friendly and it's great for both men and women. Reminds me of the spas in Korea. They hand you outfits that look like the "squid game" which you must wear in common area...note to me who wore a regular t-dress and had to change into the outfit. This place is where I want to bring my mom and it' s 4 hours from her house. Love love
My getaway... awesome place. I first went with a friend and thought it was cool. But then I had surgery and this place took on a whole new meaning. Healing spa is correctly named
Had a great time here. Lots of nice amenities. Very clean. Front staff is helpful. Just be aware that some of the older Asian workers have limited English proficiency, do don't be offended when they respond to you in a way that may seem rude. They're very nice. The wet area is awesome with great soaking baths and wet and dry saunas. The co-ed facilities are spacious and lots of places to lounge, nap, and relax.
