The Gap is great. Right now with this amazing sale going on. I was able to stretch my shopping budget to the extent that I like. The young girl who helped me in the toddler department was very knowledgeable. Made my shopping efficient. Allowed to be in and out of this Georgetown store in an efficient manner.
Nice store but deceptive marketing around thanksgiving … signs everywhere’s that all is 40% off cannot combine with other sales but Disney branded items are not 40% off so you’ll have a surprise at register … cashier said ‘ they didn’t hang a 40% sign there ‘. That was the only way you could know that NOT everything is 40% off … my daughter was already bought into the jogging pants … so as a parent you are stuck … this is deceptive and inappropriate marketing / pricing practices.
I attempted to visit the store located on Wisconsin Avenue, NW in Washington, DC. The store closes At 8pm: however, on Thursday, February 13th at 7:46pm, the doors were locked. The store associate with the long blonde ponytail and the white shear shirt with the hood just stared at me. No explanation or sign in the door! It’s fair to say that I won’t re-visit that location. Thank goodness for Target up the road.
This Gap is one of the largest in the city of Washington, D.C. It's in fancy Georgetown so you can fully expect the place to be clean and nice. It's two level with women's clothes, men's clothes, and an entire large section for kids. The staff are friendly and strike the balance between customer service and not being annoying.
Love it...their customers is always in point. I wish I could work there. If you can't find your size order it offline matching the store price.
As a previous GAP customer and someone in the service industry I wanted to report some unsavory behavior/bad etiquette of one of your employees. I was not shopping that night and never had any previous experience with the employee, but I was summoned to do a pick up of her at the D.C. GAP. I suppose even talking to her won't change someone who lacks good standards of respect toward others, humility, appreciation of assistance and other people's time, but just in case it might make an impact on her future behavior, I wanted to send you this message. I know from seeing employees through the store window plus phone calls with the employee that it was a young black female who ordered the Lyft ride. I don't know her name. Perhaps you can narrow down who she was by seeing who used a phone near 10:40 p.m. or simply asking who ordered a ride. She verbally threatened the security of my job for truly no logical reason at all and I found that disgusting. Here is the full report of events in the exact form that I told my employer. Thank you for your assistance Update: Allison a manager there was friendly enough but said she could not help with issues of personal behavior off the clock but it was not off the clock and the female was still in the GAP store. And Allison said she didn't know what I wanted her to do: talk to the employee and show you expect decent behavior. She said she couldn't get involved and I somewhat understand that but not totally since it was on property and during work. I don't have the personal contact information of the female nor do I wish to speak with her further. "Hello, I'm a bit stressed out about my first pick up/"no show" tonight. I arrived at 1258 Wisconsin Ave NW D.C. 3 minutes after the ping to do the pick up. After sitting outside for a few minutes I called the customer and said "Hi I'm the driver. I'm outside of Gap on Wisconsin" She said "Okay I'm coming". Then I noticed I hadn't tapped Arrive. So I tapped it about 6 minutes into waiting for the customer you can check the map records and I'm also attaching a phone record screenshot. Then when the countdown for Lyft Line expired I tapped No Show and I left. It was a total of atleast 8 minutes of waiting. Then I got a call from her asking if it was me who just drove off. I said yes. She said that was wrong for me to do because I already saw her in the window. I did see multiple females in the Gap store near windows, 1 was adjusting a mannequin, the others were farther away and no one signaled to me anything. I replied "I saw people but I didn't know who YOU were, there was no photo in the app." She said "Well im not ready yet, I still have stuff to do" and asked if I could come back and I said yes but she'd have to do a new ride request. I don't know why she'd request the ride again wasting a driver's time if she said on her own that she's STILL not ready. Obnoxious. It also shows her comment of "I'm coming" was a lie. When she called me to ask me to return I didn't ask if she was ready yet and I was totally calm and not at all hassling her She asked if Lyft was going to charge her a No Show fee and I said probably. Then she said she was going to REPORT me/"file a complaint". I said "Umm there's a time limit. I'm only supposed to wait about 2 minutes and I waited almost 10 minutes. I stayed way longer than I was supposed to, so there's really nothing to file a complaint about." And she said she was going to file one anyway then hung up on me. Apparently she will contact Lyft with a lie since the facts would not warrant her getting a refund or me getting in trouble at all. So please take this full and truthful account of events into account when dealing with her. Also, please inform her that rides should be requested only of she's ready and she should not threaten drivers who have actually assisted/waited more than required.
We were in the gap store in Georgetown today at the mens dept.We were helped by John who was quick efficient very polite pleasant and charming. Found some good deals and had a very good experience.
After December. 2021, store is closing after 35 years. They were unable to negotiate an affordable rent. No more Gaps in Washington, DC proper.
I really liked the discounts they offered. The store layout was split on two levels. Very convenient and easy to find clothes.
On Friday afternoon 4/20/18, Salesperson left the security tag on.. she was too busy chatting with her coworker. As well, unbeknownst to me, the shirt I purchased had a hole in the sleeve-appeared to be a flaw from the factory. The outfit was unwearable and i have to go back to the store to return it.
