Wow the people that don't feel safe here should learn how to say no to panhandlers. Because that is about all there is here that I would even consider sketchy or dangerous. I live near here. You need to learn how to interact with people that actually live in the city and stop being scared of everything. But I digress, I gave this place 1 star due to their pricing. It's exorbitant. All the cigarettes are almost or over $10 even Pall Malls and their 2 liters of soda are $4. Just insane.
Got all the way there in the freezing cold Christmas Day for two men behind the counter to tell me that their closed when their time states otherwise . I’m not sure if the usual main register person is delusional or not but he awkwardly is always intentionally rude towards me. Also,Why show up ready to work if your closed? Good luck.
I stopped there to buy an item behind the counter and the cashier was so rude and scared! He demanded cash first in hand before I check the item if it was the right one I was looking for. So I handed him my cash and he let me see the item and I bought it from him anyway. Very unprofessional and I'm not asking him to treat me the VIP treatment, but at least he needs to be nice to his customers. I know it's a rough neighborhood, but he chose to open business there. It's a nice store right now, way better than it used to be, but the customer service still bad and the gas prices are always 20 to 30 cents higher than the average gas prices in Milwaukee. I'll try to avoid this gas station from now on! Adios.
This place has come a long way from the dump it used to be just three years ago, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. I shop here on almost a daily basis, but only because I'm forced to when the other places are closed. This place has serious problems with panhandlers and crime. If you must stop here for gas, know three things: 1. stay away from the northwest and southwest corners of the lot, 2. watch out for the short guy with gray hair - he tries to short people on the gas they prepay for and 3. don't give any change to these dudes asking for it in the lot. I see these same guys across the street buying beer all the time. Keep your money - buy yourself a beer.
Today, I stupidly must have left my wallet on my car here and drove away with it obviously not to be seen again. I asked Singh if I could see the video tapes to see if I could find out what exactly happened. Even though he didn't know the system as well as his manager, he tried really hard to help me in between helping customers. I couldn't find my image in the tapes and felt bad for all the trouble I'd been so called it quits. I thanked him and begged him to take $5 for helping me but he denied it so I said I would at least buy something. He refused that as well and told me to pick anything out because he's sorry I lost my wallet. :
