Highly recommend! Delicious food, even better presentation. Loved the food, good flavor. The servers were very attentive, and always on top of refills. Great location. And great parking, get there early otherwise there is a long wait, kind of expensive but worth itDine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Food was really good in flavor. Asked for the steak medium well. And it came just like that. However one downside it's that all though the steak seemed really grilled, it was a bit with too much juice if you say? Not sure how to explain. When meat gets steamed or has too much water, their is this flavor or stench to it that I don't like. Sadly this was the case, non of the steak had any crunch from the grill which was sad. Chicken tasted spectacular, we came right when they opened, they had a nice lunch menu! The lemonades are not recommended they were very very sweet
The parking situation was a little unorganized but there was lots of it. They have some parking in front of the restaurant and use can also use the mall parking structure. The service was quick but make sure and have a reservation on busier nights Fridays, Saturdays and weekends. The service was great. Our waiter was attentive but not over bearing. The food was really good but we did have to ask that our steak be cooked more. We will definitely visit again.
We just wanted a night cap and some dessert. Came on a Friday and it was very nice. Live music, Great ambiance. We just had a bottle of wine and dessert. Dessert was this decadent bread pudding type. Yummy. They did give complimentary baguette bread with spread. We had with the wine- all good. Coming back for dinner.
Keep your hopes low, and you might survive it. Best thing at this Argentina steak house was the corn. Most items make you wonder why they even bother serving it and just how you can fix the dish. The choke and prawns weren't bad, zesty and creamy, empanada was fresh, corn side? Sweet. Tomahawk? Average, might make a better one at home to be honest. Potatoes? Tastes boiled and then smoked, a light skin deep watery smoked flavor. Ice cream tasted like tiramisu with caramel, and some sort of cream.
Went there with my sister for a late lunch early dinner Linner. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. I ordered the Gaucho Salad with steak and my sister ordered the seafood Paella. My food presentation was good. My sisters was not what we expected Paella. Soggy rice and really no seasoning so no flavor, generous portion. My salad was more like a cole slaw the steak was tuff. See for yourselves first and foremost. This was our experience.
Juicy Argentina steak as Entraña. Special Argentina dumpling as Empanda. The atmosphere is dark and wet on floor. It's cold but the fans are still working hard to make me feel chilling.Food: 5/5
I've been at Gaucho in Glendale & San Diego before and had a great experience. So I took my military son as he came home & we were both really disappointed on the food, and the service. Definitely NOT what I've experience before in the previous two places.Food: 1/5
Located behind the West Covina Mall is the Goucho Grill Argentina Steakhouse. This place is an absolute must for those who love steaks, grilled meats, or good, juicy, flavorable food in general. The restaurant itself is clean and simple with hard floors, wood tables, and leather cushioned chairs. The decorative elements have been kept to a minimum and can be found on a divider wall that separates the bar from the dinning room, and on the back wall which feature an artistic scene of cattle being hearded. From the perspective of the entrance, the bar lies on the left and the dinning room on the right. And at the time I went there, there was a canopy in the parking lot for additional open air dinning. When I came here for the first time, the first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. While I waited at the bar for my friend to arrive on a Friday, music I was familiar with started to play, 60's latin jazz. The moment I heard the music, like magic, it enhanced my mood, made my heart yern, the evening felt like a romantic movie. And what surprised me the most was, It wasn't a recording. It was a real person with a mic, a guitar, and a voice so silky smooth the entire world paused for a moment to listen. It's not surprising then, that they know how to cook steaks in Argentina. With more heads of cattle then people, Argentina is third behind Brazil and Australia I'm terms of beef exports. additionally, Argentina is up there in terms of domestic beef consumption. Introduced by the spanish conquistadors in the 1500's, cattle quickly multiplied and thrived in the Pampas, a geographic region that crossed into Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. The Pampas were a perfect place to raise cattle becuase of the wide swaths of flat fertile grasslands. Soon after, the gouchos came. Part myth and part legend, gouchos we're similar to the american cowboys. Gouchos were expert riders who hearded the cattle, lived off the land, and grilled slices of meat over an open flame beneath the sky. If you have no idea what to order keep it simple. Order a couple of frosty beers or a Malbec, creamy marshed potatoes, grilled vegetables, and the Entrana skirt steak medium rare. That is a meal that will never disappoint. Check this place out!
Really nice menu. Came during happy hour but wanted a drink not on the happy hour menu. The bar manager insisted that I get the happy hour drinks. Not sure if he was saying this because he thought I couldn't afford the regular priced drink. I told him I wasn't interested in happy hour, and ordered off the regular menu. Service was OK, somewhat friendly staff.
