100% Authentic Italian bakery. My boss stops in every now and then and gets various items. Everything I’ve had is fresh and delicious. The danish are always amazing. The cherry and apple danish aren’t far my favorite from what I have had. I would like to try everything they bake. It all looks amazing.

I was so very disappointed by the Oreo cake I purchased from Gencarelli’s on 10-11. This is my wife’s actual birthday. I purchased it for her birthday. The Oreo cookies and the cake were very stale. I purchased the cake at 4:30pm and went straight to my apt in Bloomfield which is a 5 min ride and placed in the fridge. She didn’t eat her piece as it was very stale. No one did to be honest. It was thrown out.

The cannolis are great! My fiancés childhood bakery the cakes are OMG i took some to family all the way in Virginia Beach Va & they loved it!

I am regular Customer with Gencarellis for years and all of the sudden I got this “treatment”from them. I went to talk with the Manager. “She wasn’t there left a phone# She never call me back for a courtesy to apologize. Look at the MOLD —

Since I was a small child, I have always loved Gencarelli's Bakery treats. They are the best! I love their raisin buns and butter cookies and cupcakes. My Mom loved their cheesecakes. They make small but serendipitous dreams come true.

I have been coming to this bakery since 1999. I relocated to Atlanta Georgia but i still stop here whenever i visit NJ. Very clean friendly place.

I was in there on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The bread is excellent and they gave an large assortment of pastries, cakes and cookies. I was impressed with the staff on those busy days. They handled everything quickly and efficiently. I will be returning.

You can't go wrong with this bakery everything is excellent donuts, buns, cakes, etc. Every Sunday morning since I was a kid we had our buns and donuts from here and everything else! Simply put Gencarelli's you are "Out of This World"!

Best for Friday night dessert cravings! There is nothing better than an Italian bakery. Love all their amazing fresh cakes and cookies.

OMG, If you want something sweet, delicious and beautiful go there! Broads street rendition of Willy Wonka Land! I wanted to buy one of everything! Everything is absolutely gorgeous and it's all edible. The cake was light and the icing was perfect. Sweet without making you run for a bottle of water. Chocolate covered strawberries, mini eclairs, zebra thingies, don't ask me what it is but my mother said it was delicious, peach pie apple pie, miniature cupcakes, donuts croissants all types of pastries like danishes with apples and humongous apple turnovers and the crust on apple turnovers are light and flaky and the filling was absolutely delicious. Don't forget the brownies with or without nuts absolutely scrumptious.also I got fresh baked and sliced bread, the crust was just as crunchy and the bread itself was so soft it just melted in your mouth and I ate it by itself. The salesperson who helped me,I don't know if I'm saying her name right I believe it's Daroline, was a absolute gem!she was so patient while I called my family to see what they wanted she got me everything I needed and she made suggestions and she could explain what was in each and every item that I was asking about. She was just so knowledgeable I thought she just made everything herself! the rest of the staff was just as nice and friendly to the other customers that were coming in. When you go there the whole atmosphere, the presentation of everything ,the wonderful employees will just make you want to stay in there and buy buy buy. If you have any upcoming events birthdays you want to send someone a cake I don't know do whatever make sure you go to this place everything is just so fresh and the service is excellent and I definitely will go back and I recommend this place to everyone I've never experienced anything like this and I've eaten it a lot of places. 20 Stars if I could!
