Gents Barber Lounge

I have been here before several times and the experiences have been absolutely superb. I understand that employee turnover may be an uncontrollable factor. However, some careful hiring should take place. I had a terrible experience with Mark who not only gave me a haircut comparable to that of a toddler cut way more than I asked and then proceeded to cut more from one side relative to the other but also visibly ignored me when I was explaining what I wanted and was more occupied with other activities while engaging in the haircut. Just came out of the barber shop a couple of hours ago. Cut looked good, but my neck and scalp burned a little. Dre was rougher with the electric razor than other barbers I've gone to before- the process itself of getting my hair cut was actually painful. He also burned/cut me in multiple places with the razor, which he used on my skin without any shaving cream basically dry shaving. It's been 5 hours and it still burns. I don't have sensitive skin and this has never happened to me before.He was very meticulous and took his time, but the burns are so bad I definitely won't be going back. See photos

Gents is the barbershop I decided to stick with when I moved to Philly. I initially avoided the shops in Fishtown because they're a bit pricey, but when it comes to haircuts you get what you pay for in this city. The owner Joey is very polite and professional and I currently sit with Duane who gives me a precise, consistent cut every single time.Service: Haircut
