I've been coming to this dental location for a long time. It has always been a great experience. When Dr. Steele and Dr. Mike I think that was his name was here together it was nothing but comedy. Now Dr. Mike had been replaced by his daughter Emily which is a very welcomed addition. The place has also been renovated and has lots of upgraded equipment and technology. Both doctors are very forthcoming and informative relating to what needs to be done, what is being done, when it needs to be done by, and cost associated with all of that. I love how every time I come in to get work done I also get a free class on dentistry. They sit there and explain in layman's terms kind of like dentistry for dummies. Very clear. Very concise. After the visit I feel as though I can throw on a lab coat and open my own practice with all these free educational tidbits given, lol. It has been my pleasure to frequent this establishment and implore anyone who is in need of dental services that are reasonably distanced to come and try them out, you will not be disappointed.
Had a great first visit with Georgetown Dental today. Dr. Emily Steele was so kind and knowledgeable. She even took the time to walk through what different things meant on my dental x-rays, so I feel more knowledgeable for future dentist appointments. Her staff was also wonderful; the receptionist was kind enough to ask about my day and how the visit went and seemed genuinely caring. I am a bit dentist-anxious, so all of these extra touches of care and consideration went a long way.
Amazing staff & dentists! They always do a fantastic job and have navigated me through chipped teeth, safe whitening, and regular cleanings. I always feel safe & listened to which is not something I have experienced with other dentists in DC. Highly recommend!
Not respectful. I come to do the cleaning covered by the insurance, but they do debridement without letting me know before the procedure. At least I should know what I am doing. Moreover, the skill of the doctor is terrible. Lots of pain and bleeding.
Every part of Georgetown Dental was great! The front desk staff was super helpful in preparation for my visit as well as helping me set other appointments for different procedures. Dr. Emily Steele is great at what she does and is truly an expert in the field of dentistry!
Wouldn't know because they cancelled on me 3 times, then said she was going away for 3 weeks. acted as if my life schedule was less important than the dentist's. Now I'm traveling for several months, too late for me to make another appointment. So no dental care for me until the summer. Poor service. I am editing my review to state that the below response is a lie; while you did reach out to me last week to offer me a "last minute cancellation", I said I didn't want it and confirmed I could still come at the scheduled time this week, and you said yes. It sure sounded like you were left with an empty slot and needed my help to fill it, not actually trying to help me find a time to reschedule my own appointment; no other time was at all offered when I couldn't take that "last minute cancellation".
I highly recommend Georgetown Dental! Dr. Steele is a great professional, very detail-oriented, explains everything that is going on, is welcoming and kind. She truly cares for her patients to receive the best treatment possible. It has been a wonderful experience being a patient here!
I haven't been to the dentist in awhile and called with dental pain. Managed to get me in same day and not only gave me a comfortable and pain free treatment but, even gave me an after hours number incase of any complications! He walked me through step by step what was going on and not only reassured me but also answered any questions I had along the way. He went into detail about the treatment plan he recommended and consistently checked in during treatment. I cannot speak highly enough about Georgetown Dental and the treatment I received there. Truly changed my outlook on going to the dentist! Would recommend to anyone and everyone considering dental care.
DO NOT GO HERE!! You CANNOT trust Emily and Bruce Steele!!! They told me I have cavities that require fillings but when I got a second opinion from another dentist, I was told that’s not true. Moreover, I’ve been to 2 other dentists since then and none of them have told me that I have any cavities or needed any filings! I have no idea why they are allowed to still be dentists and operate when all they care about is making money off of unnecessary procedures and hurting people’s perfectly healthy teeth. If you went here and they told you you need some work done on your teeth, I would recommend you get a second opinion.
It is a great place and it has even better doctors. Not only did I get quality care, my understanding improves with every visit. Dr Steele’s broad knowledge and patience in explaining procedures and after care are the most impressive that I have seen. I don’t live nearby but well worth each trip.
