These con artists hid this defective stump in a dozen roses so you wouldn’t see it until after you unwrapped them. I’ve been shopping here for 3 years and I don’t think I’ll ever be back.
I spent the day here yesterday in the Starbucks section of the grocery store. I was seeking out a relaxed environment where I could do work mainly. The fact that food and drinks were readily accessible was a bonus. The seats and a/c were comfortable, and I greatly appreciated it. Even there were far less customers then what you would see at a stand alone Starbucks. So that being said, it is much more tranquil and better for working. The WiFi signal was on point- double like. I believe that I ended up spending around $20 for food and drink and it was worth it!
This is a great place to shop. Loved going here when I lived in Crystal City now in DC. Sadly, don't get here very often now. Store is clean, well-stocked & staff is friendly. Great store! Now shop regularly at the Giant at Wisconsin Ave & Newark Street, NW.
I've been going here since they have been open! Quality and service has never gone down. The staff is friendly and VERY helpful. The options are pretty good, great juice options! Yvonne is very helpful :
So pricey. Vitafusion hair &nail 100 gummies is $19.85, amazon is $11.90, Target store $13. Walmart $12.
Everything you want or need in a grocery store. We were staying in a nearby Airbnb and decided to pick up some breakfast foods to cut down on the cost of our trip. Giant Food came to the rescue with a very lean store with a wide variety of options. They had a great looking produce section with many fresh and tasty options. Not only was the store clean, but the restroom’s were also in good shape and clean. Finally, the service was friendly, helpful, and efficient.
While this Giant has an above average selection of products, it also has average customer service. In particular, whenever I go to self-check out, the employees rarely to never say, "Have a good/great/nice day", etc. They would stare at and dismiss you, even if you say "thank you". When I go to the registers, my experience varies depending on the employees. On the plus side, this is a decent area with modern buildings, adjacent and distant townhomes, and vast green space. Also, this area/setting reminds me of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, and its kids version, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. I can already imagine the sound of the piano and trolley here, since the area is close to Old Town. Moreover, you can find sales on some but not all items and use your phone number or Giant card to receive those savings. All that said, I am not sure I will or want to [regularly] shop here because of the service.
I used to love coming to this location; however, I will not be returning. I was sold expired cake mix that was over 1 year old. I went into the store with my receipt and requested a refund. The manager did not even bother scanning my receipt, but instead, told me that it was impossible for me to have bought expired items from the store. Not only did he insinuate that I was a liar, but he also would not give me a refund. I spoke with one of the sales associates who helped me pick out the cake mix days before, and she could not even believe how I was being treated. I also called after I left the store, and the same manager said "I'm sorry you that feel that way," and still did not provide any resolutions to this matter. I did not receive a refund, and I cannot believe how unpleasant I was treated. I will not be returning.
Worst grocery store in area besides Aldi. Horrible produce especially. Staff is good however and the store is easy to get into and out of.
Great location. Always helpful. MAKE SURE TO PARK IN GIANT’S GARAGE ITS FREE BECAUSE IF YOU PARK IN THE BIG LOT ACROSS THE STREET IDA BUILDING/TARGET YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED BY THE PREDATORY COMPANY DOMINION TOWING EVEN IF YOU’RE RUNNING IN THE STORE FOR A FEW MINUTES.
