Gigi's Cupcakes

Yesterday I attended the Birthday party of a 2 yr old in South Overland Park KS. How embarrassing for the parents that they had to begin the party with no cake. The order was placed a month ago but was 3 hours late being ready. Gigi's called last minute to say they could not find the right cookie cutter and offered a substitution for a themed party. Both items looked like they had been decorated by a 10 yr old. The cookies didn't even have a clean cut. The only thing even remotely professional were the cupcakes. Perhaps Gigi's should stick with what they do best. Cupcakes! Trying to do events is obviously not your forte! This family wasted a lot of money at Gigi's and we all know this kind of establishment is not cheap!

So this is my go to cupcake place. For my birthday (as a surprise) my husband orders two dozen cupcakes, 3 days in advance. When he goes to pick them up for my birthday dinner. NO CUPCAKES. They literally have the sheet in front of them with the order on it, but no one made them. The lady offers to "put something together" for him, but he had dinner reservations for 20 people and couldn't wait, which is why he called THREE DAYS IN ADVANCE TO PLACE THE ORDER. Very disappointed. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this location.

We used them for our work and they did a great job. The customers loved their cupcakes. We have to find new ones every year or we would use them again this year. We will rotate them back in in a year or two.

Wanted to love it, but I found strips of plastic on my cupcake between the icing and cake. The cashier apologized but just gave me another cupcake instead of asking if I wanted a refund. I found an unknown brown speck on the new cupcake. While it was likely only chocolate on my all white cupcake I wasn't taking any chances went with the refund.

This place makes cup cakes from scratch and also has a small selection of cheese cakes as well. This place has cup cakes in two different sizes:large and mini. They have a small seating area in the store to enjoy the treats immediately. This place allows to select assortment of cupcakes from their website and has a loyalty Punch cards which earns a gift card or a birthday cup cake. This place part of a mall and there is a large parking lot right in front of this place.
