I stopped into the bakery today on a whim while I was waiting to be seated at nearby restaurant. I ordered 4 of the larger cupcakes and 4 mini cupcakes. This was my first time there so I wanted to try out a variety. I didn’t dig into them until I got home several hours later. First I tasted the strawberry cupcake mini…it was sooo delicious. A little to much frosting for my liking, but both the cake and frosting were delicious. Then I tried the wedding cake flavor. OMG it was so good…even better than the strawberry in my opinion. Lastly I tried the red velvet mini and true to form it was also very very delicious. I have a few more flavors to try, but I’m on a sugar high right now so I’ll have to sample them later. These are the best cupcakes that I’ve had in a while and I will most certainly be returning for more!
* I ordered these cupcakes for my sister's birthday. They were really yummy but the bread part was sort of dry for some reason. They were ready before the time and the decorations with the cupcakes came together nicely.
They did an AMAZING JOB with our gender reveal cupcakes! We absolutely loved it. The cake was moist and delicious and the frosting was to die for. Definitely recommend Gigi’s Bakery 100/10 for any occasion!
I had never heard of this bakery, but I won a gift card through an Instagram giveaway and we recently decided to stop by and use it. Covid-19: you can order and pay online. We decided to shop with our eyes though. They only allow one person inside at a time which I appreciate. They were doing buy 5, get 1 free which worked out to be just about $20 for the 6 cupcakes we got. We got: appledoodle, oh my gourd, carrot cake, unicorn, strawberry shortcake, and wedding cake. The two fall flavors appledoodle and oh my gourd were my favorite. I loved the apple filling in the appledoodle. Of their regular flavors, I was most impressed by the wedding cake. It didn't sound exciting, but the flavor was great. The strawberry ones unicorn and strawberry shortcake were both pretty good. Surprisingly, carrot cake was my least favorite. It was actually kind of dry and lacked some of the usual carrot cake spices. I'm not a huge cake person, but I did enjoy these cupcakes. They also have a Yelp check in offer!
Poor customer service. It was my first time there and I wasn’t greeted or explained purchase options even though I asked about things on the menu. I thought the cupcakes would make up for the poor service but unfortunately they didn’t. We selected the midnight magic chocolate cupcake, wedding cake vanilla cupcake, and red velvet. The frosting on all three were way to sweet, we took it off the cupcakes. The only moist and flavorful cake was the chocolate. The vanilla and red velvet were dry and bland. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further to Suarez Bakery. They have a variety of goods that are fresh and delicious and I’ve never had an issue with customer service there.
We had a sudden surprise party and needed to find great tasting cupcakes that are gluten free and ready to get boxed up. Gigi's has amazing tasting gluten free desserts and they are always so accommodating to make any event the best it can be! Dr Nick Lukacs and the entire office at Queen City Ear Nose and Throat thank you for being so helpful and fast with our order! We'll be back to order for future events.
NOT WORTH THE PRICE. especially the gluten free cupcakes!! They are disgusting! I tried the wedding cake flavor and it was sickeningly sweet and super dry- no flavor or texture besides grainy and overly sweet. I actually threw it out after a few bites. NOT worth 4.02$ in the slightest. Other regular cupcakes were extremely lackluster. The cake is dry and hard and the icing is too sweet. All together no flavor. NOT worth your money.
I heard about GiGi’s and was anxious to try the cupcakes in NC. I was very disappointed with the taste? It was not what I was expecting? Maybe it was the ones I had but the taste and texture was rough and tasted day-old? I was surprised. I gave them a 4 because I want them Corporate DEPT to have an opportunity to redo this store and the taste to be more competitive in texture to what they may have been before I guess?
Wonderful! I ordered cupcakes over the phone for my son's birthday party. Madison was very helpful in walking me through the options. The cakes were ready on time and our guests raved about them. We got the vegan frosting bc, we have family with lactose issues, and it wasn't as sweet, which people loved. The carrot cake seemed to be the favorite.
Wonderful selection even on the afternoon of Valentine's Day, when many other bakeries are running low on desserts. Very friendly staff.
