This school has been an unmitigated disaster since the 1970's. Looking back from the perspective of an education professional with decades in the field, there were many students with obvious signs of trauma and neglect whom I saw treated with open derision by teachers and students alike. Popular teaches like Carl Budgins and Mr. Reif often joined their students in harassing and bullying students who had some quirk, difference or special need. Looking at recent reviews, it is obvious that this sad excuse for a school has upheld its long tradition of abuse and neglect. If any parents are reading this, I strongly recommend against allowing this school to harm your children.
I was bullied for being a quiet kid. Most of the teachers quit after our year. I loved my social studies teacher though. She was great. I made a great friend in her class.
This school is so so bad, I was bullied for being a little overweight and my sister was bullied for being gender neutral and having a unique name, my experience was terrible and I feel terrible for any child that is going there or will go on to go there. Please if you love your child you will not trust these people with your children.
Utterly disgusting school. The only thing good about it are the teachers only a handful of them are competent. Administration is as useless as pouring a water bottle into the ocean. The janitors work way too hard on cleaning the messes students make administrators don’t care about their hard working janitors so won’t strictly enforce a clean school policy. 3/5 of the teachers left the school to “find better opportunities”. Let’s all be honest, they hate working for this administration. This school is causing mental health issues across the youth, and I would never forgive my self if I ever happen to send my future children here. -10/10. This school needs to step it up.
Terrible experience with Glen Hills Middle School. My little brother was bullied for 3 years and teachers/administration did nothing about it. This creates the type of environment that perpetuates depression and anxiety among young children which often leads to worse effects. You would think in this day and age that bullying would be at the forefront of a schools mission and a priority. I am absolutely disgusted and ashamed with those who work within this school who many parents and loved ones put trust into. They need to do so much better.
For more than 2 weeks I have been calling and leaving messages. I had a few questions about my child starting a new school. I spoke with a human a few times, but I was transferred to a voice message,, No Reply. I guess the covid has empowered and embolden the school so much that they cant be bothered by parents anymore.
This is not a grate school!! I have never felt so discussed in a school district. There are VERY inappropriate words and drawings. And the staff haven’t done anything to stop it. Not happy. And on top of it all the teachers are so not kind. NOT EVER SENDING MY KIDS BACK!!!
Wow a blast from my past. Great elementary. I remember super teachers. Nice small school K-5. Mr.Tietz was principal. I took French in 5th grade. Simpler times. I graduated from Nicolet in 1969.
