Story

侘び寂び精神のひとつを想わせるユニークな空間、素晴しい京都の建物によくに見られるそんな空間を、ニューヨーク・マンハッタンの中心に作りました。 和室は、日本文化をより良く理解して頂くための場、および、来米中のアーティストらを迎える旅館スタイルのゲストハウスとして、また、先日オープンした茶室「憩翠庵」は、お茶会などに活用の予定です。

Mission

Japanese spaces that are comprised of tatami and shoji rooms, reminiscence of Kyoto’s wabi-sabi environment, crafted to provide a quiet and calm environment where Japanese cultural understanding can flourish for social gathering and dialog amidst the tea ceremony.
