First time visiting with a friend who loves their bagels. The location is large and spacious with plenty of dining. I didn’t eat from the restaurant, only from the coffee and sweet treats area. The variety of bagels is impressive as there are a few unique ones. The dessert was a plentiful variety as well. I didn’t quite like the idea of each cake slice being wrapped up in plastic wrap though. Visually unappealing. I had to take off a star due to service. The service was disappointing simply because the cashier did not care to get an answer to my question about a product in which he has to pick up and sell, which was “Is this a lemon pound cake?” I had to ask since there are no labels on the desserts. When I asked the young man at the register in the dessert station this was lemon or not his words were “Oh I’m not sure. I don’t know the difference. Plus I have to ring up a ticket.” And so, I walked over to the bagel station and asked the gentleman maybe a manager if the pound cake was lemon or not and received an answer. Therefore, I walked back to the cashier at the dessert station again. The young man asks me “did you get the information you were looking for.” I made the purchase and was pleased with it. Still not a fan of it being in plastic wrap. I would absolutely return to this location. But if ever the young man is at the register and over desserts again, I wouldn’t order.
This is one of the rare times I have posted negatively on Yelp. Do not eat here. Stay away. Or make sure that you watch the chef prepare he food and that they are wearing gloves. We ordered take out at the restaurant on 4/14 2019. We were in a rush to the airport and ordered two sandwiches and a salad. The chef preparing the sandwiches was not wearing gloves. It was disgusting and against health code. When we arrived at the airport, we threw the sandwiches and salad away. See attached images. When I told the restaurant, they didn’t even offer an apology or allow a refund for the items we threw away. They were extremely rude about the situation and blamed us as customers when my wife took 3 bites out of a sandwich before I told her what I saw. We will be calling the health inspector to file a complaint as well.
We were heading to a different restaurant and and it had a huge line, so we back tracked to here. We encountered friendly people working here and enjoyed our omelets. I ordered a Bayou omelet with a fruit cup and coffee. The fruit was fresh, omelet and coffee were great. Fair warning for tea drinkers, the pickings seems slimno English Breakfast.
We ran into this deli while attempting to find another one, and boy are we glad we did! Their coffee is delicious! We had the Bayou Omlette with blackenned shrimp, Asiago Bagel, their bagels are freshly made every day veggie cream cheese and their potatoes called "Latkes". Dear God almighty! Delicious! Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. There are other coffee shops like cafe du monde which are highly recommended. However, we were disappointed. We ran into a gem! Please, save yourselves from long lines under the agonizing heat and head over here! You will not be disappointed. Very clean, beautiful decor, friendly staff, ample space and delicious food.
We happened to walk past one morning, it looked good and there was available seating so we took a chance. Great breakfast! Bacon was cooked just the way I like it and my son had pancakes that I tasted and they were out of this world! We'll definitely make this a new breakfast stop! The manager came over and talked to us, he was so friendly and our server can't remember her name was on top of everything! I don't know how she remembered everything we wanted without writing it down!
The staff and service here is amazing. The food has very good portions compared to the money you spend. We ate here 3 days out of 5 because of the quality of food and service. Kudos to the manager Michael as well as the servers Zoe and Carissa. Highly recommend the chicken biscuit, and the freshly baked bagels.
I got an order to-go and made the mistake of not checking before I left. You call ordinary sliced bread "fine food?" That's not a side, that's a dollop. No way this is $12. This is a snack.
The food was fabulous! But, the real reason to go there is our server, Misty! She was absolutely fantastic! I've had good service at many restaurants but I haven't had the Fantastic service Misty gave us I Goldbergs often! Go to Goldbergs Saddle up to the bar and ask for Misty. She'll take care of you!
This was our first time visiting this establishment. There was no wait which was a plus. The food was mediocre at best, they only had their “special events menu” at the time which could have been at fault. The wait for the food was average, about 15-20 minutes. However, the downfall began when we noticed we did not have one waiter/tress assigned to us. So when our food came & we needed some refills/extra condiments/had issues with our food, we did not know who to address. So our request were getting lost & it wasn’t until we went up to the counter to ask for service that anyone payed attention to us. Our friend ordered a soup but no utensils were brought to the table, when they finally did bring them to the table, there were no spoons available. When they finally noticed our table having issues, someone did address them kindly.
Fast and very friendly service from a restaurant group that is obviously trying to make a good first impression. Lots of employees ready to take care of you and management was also available. I was tempted to try the breakfast all day option, but went for their 'famous' New York po-boy hot and I wasn't disappointed. It wasn't huge, but it wasn't expensive either. Large separate area to handle take out orders and a big dinning room with bar.
