This is a casual, friendly, fantastic place to meet friends, business pals, family and enjoy a quick meal with great service!

Not the best BBQ, got the beef brisket,it was lukewarm and dry, and so was the spud. The place was full of pictures and history .service was okay,staff was nice but too busy watching TV.

Server, Tasha, was excellent. Food was hit or miss. I loved the loaded baked potato with chopped pork. Kids like their chopped pork sandwich. others ij our party didn’t love the sliced pork or fries. Not Smokey enough pork and kind of soggy not enough salt fries.

This is a great bbq restaurant with an amazing history of dedication to customers and their employees. Their bbq in my opinion is the best. The fries are fresh cut everyday and they have amazing ribs with a sauce that has a wonderful taste. When you want your meal made to order you will get it. Thanks for your many years of service and dedication to excellence. A++++. First time guest should order a number 1 meal outside sliced with beans and fries. Enjoy!

You know you are at a great BBQ place as soon as you open your car door. That smoky aroma is everywhere! Unlike the other Golden Rules we have visited, the smell, the interior of bldg, and by just watching the pitmasters and food prep folks working, you know you are in for some really good BBQ. I had the chopped brisket plate with potato salad and baked beans. While the sides were really good, the brisket was outstanding. Great flavor, great texture and super juicy. If reviewing food only, this review would be 5+ stars. However, service was definitely lacking in specific areas. One, while I know the rona has affected eating establishments and they have to do what they have to in order to serve, when asked if I could get my Miller Lite in a glass, was told absolutely, then received a Styrofoam cup, well....that didn't work for me...but it ended up not being an issue due to the beer canned being so warm, I returned it, un opened and drank water instead. My next issue, was the lack of knowledge from waitress, which has been an ongoing issue with Golden Rule at a cple different locations. She didn't know which brands of beer they served, couldn't tell me the difference in a large and small brisket plate and never once came back to refill my water. If Golden Rule ever brings their server staff up to the level of their food, they will be a favorite of mine for sure!

I am not typically the type of guy to give the " this is the best I have ever had " endorsement because I believe in most cases there is room for improvement in everything. HOWEVER, this is hands down the best bbq I have ever had in my life.

Moving day must! This was a great choice for friends and family after the grilling workout we had. Finally settled down to a good meal and needed rest. The staff was awesome! Location was clean and organized. If I'm back in the area, I will stop by again!

Earlier in the week I was passing by town on business and decided I needed some barbecue. I found golden rule BBQ and decided to give it a shot. I am a complete foodie, my hobby is cookin including barbecue and I will say I had the best ribs in my life at this location. The plate they offered were full ribs, no scrappy ends. The ribs were meaty full of flavor and just the right amount of smoke on them. The homemade coleslaw was excellent and the Brunswick stew was fresh and full of great flavor. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place for some great barbecue. I can’t wait for my next business trip in the area, for I will be stopping by here for sure. Thank you, Paul

This was our first and last time eating at this location!!! Waited over five minutes for a waitress to come over to take our drink order! Waited an additional fifteen minutes for a waitress to take our order! Nobody ever came to take our order. I literally had to hunt a waitress down because all the waitress were ignoring our table. People who came in fifteen minutes after us for their food before we even had the chance to order. The waitress who took our drink order was all in our faces and personal space. She was so close it made us all uncomfortable. That sane lady literally put her hands on my shoulders and was rubbing them!!!! That's a major....No! No! I literally had to pry her hands off of my shoulders while telling her to get her hands off of me and for her to never touch me like that again!!!

I was very disappointed this time. The place was completely empty, not normal. Then I ordered my food. A bowl of chili went from being in a ceramic Bowl to a styrofoam cup. Extra charge for chese and onions. I'd hate to see the cup size... My cheeseburger was so puny thus time, and it cost extra to get lettuce, tomato and onion. Like an extra dollar. The fries were good like they used to be... But, alas, it seems my remembering of how good this place used to be will have to suffice. I won't be back.
