I went there for their Chili Cheese Dog. It was good. I definitely enjoyed the fries, which were seasoned to perfection. The prices are pretty reasonable for this type of restaurant. I paid a little over $15 for a chili dog with fries and a drink. As far as the vibe of the restaurant, this place reminds me of the restaurants I’ve seen in Midtown Atlanta with its decor, clean and quaint. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for a good lunch spot.
My second time here. I brought my wife. We ordered the texas dog and bratwurst. Both came with chips. We also ordered some mac and cheese and two drinks. The food came fresh and hot. The staff was friendly and helpful. We couldn't finish everything so we took the left overs to go. Food quality is very good and fresh. The menu is very diverse not just hot dogs. Lots of good side options and a good selection of beers. Kid-friendliness: Coloring pages, kids menu and outdoor seating. Parking: A little tight and small but there is parking Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp good clearance inside.
I stopped by Good Dog Houston for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. The hot dogs were delicious, and the chili cheese fries were amazing. The lavender lemonade was also refreshing. The staff was friendly and the decor was cool. This is a great place!
This place was pretty good. First time trying it out and between the 6 of us, we tried several different menu items. Service was attentive and friendly. Clean place. The dishes were pretty good. The corn dogs were my fave, hand dipped! The onion dip and relish in the zapata dog were a bit lacking. Fish and chips were pretty good, batter was tasty and fries are delicious. Overall good place and we did receive our food fresh and very quickly.
Hot dog was great. Braised collard greens were outstanding. Apple horseradish slaw was a great surprise. Real cream soda. Such a good time
I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegan dog option with vegan chili. The fish and chips my mom ordered did not impress her but it takes a lot to impress my mom. The prices are about right, given the area of town. The vegan dog tasted very typical of a dog.Perhaps a beyond sausage dog would be better tasting. The texture of the dog was nice and toasted which I appreciated. Vegetarian options: There was a vegan chili and vegan chili dog option.
I tried Good Dog with little expectations outside of a higher priced lunch. The place was clean with good service. I looked at some reviews before I decided to go there and got lured by the Beer Cheese Soup. I ordered the soup, a side of their fresh cut fries and a Rodeo Dog on a recommendation from a staff member. As I was in line another patron in front of me ordered the Rodeo dog so that gave me some confidence in what I was ordering...I maybe should've went basic on my first go... The dog is loaded with stuff.. some ingredients that go together and some that should be left on the side. The beer cheese soup was good, but I needed more buttered bread. It was really sour and the buttered bread they give on the side really went well with it. The fries were excellent. They make all the condiments in house. The ketchup and aoli were a little bland, but some table salt livened them up good. I'll be back when I'm ready to drop some dime and I'll be sure to go a little plainer on the dog if I get one. Less is more here.
We went in the evening for some hot dogs. And oh boy were these dogs good! The place absolutely lives up to its name. The vibe is chill, the decor is minimalistic, and the seating is convenient. The service is fast and the staff is extremely polite. We are guided to place our orders before we take our seats. The process is straightforward and the hostess helped us make our choice. We ordered 2 of their most popular offerings, the Chi-town hot dog and the Ol' Zapata hot dog, along with the Lavender Lemonade. We enjoyed all the items immensely. We absolutely loved the Chi-town hot dog and the Ol' Zapata hot dog is quite good too. The lavender lemonade is delicious too. The weather was lovely, with a light breeze, perfect for sitting outside. We spotted many cute doggie statues all around the place. They have a really cute food truck passed outside too. This place totally made our evening!
Nice establishment with inside and outside seating. Not too big on hot dogs for dinner but I might be a fan of Gourmet hot dogs. First meal all day so I had to go all out. Ordered the Ol' Zapata, quite scrumptious especially the bread, it had a sweet taste that complimented it well. Also the aioli dip with the fries... something crucial, I'm telling you. The Fizzy Mint Lemonade, was decent if you not a fan of lime I wouldn't go for it. All in all it was pretty good.
I LOVED Good Dog. My hot dog was the most delicious gourmet hot dog I have ever eaten. The bun is like no other. The bread was to die for. The wait staff were friendly. The restaurant was very clean. The Mac n Cheese and the Apple-Horseradish Slaw were both excellent.
