I was in the area so I decided to have some barbecue for lunch. I got a sliced brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad. The place wasn’t very busy and the staff was very helpful. There is plenty of outside seating with a very nice cover. The only suggestion that I have is adding fries to the menu. I always enjoy fries with a BBQ sandwich, but instead I had to get potato salad. I felt the potato salad lacked flavor. I probably would not get it again but everything was good.
Ordered the 3 meat and the portion is big enough for me to share with my sister. The jalapenos sausage is really good and the homemade bread is so soft and nice. Definitely worth trying Parking: Free parking next to the restaurant
Barbecue here is pretty good. Not the best that I’ve had, but quite delicious. I really enjoyed the jalapeño cheddar sausage, which had a good snap from the casing, a great spice from the jalapeños, and a nice moistness from the sausage itself. I was a little disappointed with the brisket, as it was dryer and leaner than I would personally like. I chose potato salad and macaroni as my sides. The potato salad was good, but the macaroni was the real winner. It was super cheesy and delicious. Overall, this is a really solid barbecue, but there are many other better barbecue places out here in Houston.
A solid barbecue place. The food was good, and the service was great. It wasn’t the best brisket I’ve had in the area, but still quite delicious. Definitely will be coming back to try other meats.
I love me some Goode Co BBQ, since I first went there in 1991. I mo longer live in Houston, I'm good for at least 1 visit. This visit was delightful because the weather was great for outdoor dining.
I really like the setup of this place, had a really welcoming friendly vibe upon entry. I was expecting a little bit more from the menu, as they didn’t offer burnt ends as a meat option. Even though that a Kansas City bbq dish it still would of been nice to have and is usually a staple at most smokehouse. The brisket was tender and juicy but didn’t hold flavor consistency thru-out the cut strips. The best bites were the bark and then it would get kind of dull. The Turkey was pretty impressive and I did like the smokiness to it. The dirty rice & potato salad is a good sides choice but wouldn’t recommend the Mac & Cheese. The ribs are tender and probably your best bet. I typically favor beers on tap, although they only offer draft they do have plenty of options from pilsners to lagers and offer frozen mugs if that’s your type of thing. Even though the food wasn’t exactly what I was looking for I still give it 4 stars;if you’re in town visiting Houston and want pretty decent bbq I would recommend.
Great bbq...one of the friendliest staff and so clean. I recommend it all from the mac-n-cheese to all the meats...can't miss. That jalopeno bread was so yummy. Will come back. ADA wheelchair accessible. Dog friendly patio.
I don’t eat a lot of pie, but I just might eat all of this one. I received this incredibly Pecan Pie as a gift & #Damm fine pie. I definitely be by to check out the restaurant on my next visit to Texas.#goodecompany
Really really good bbq. I’m from nyc and knew if I was going to Texas I needed some bbq. I got ribs and they were sooo good the sauce was great!!! I got them with Mac and cheese and potato salad. The Mac and cheese was great but the potato salad wasn’t my cup of tea. They also gave me a free pecan pie and was contemplating checking a bag in just so I can bring a pie home. Really good good. You can tell it’s really authentic when your hands smell like charcoal.
The food was good overall it’s not the best brisket I’ve tasted but it’s not bad. Also the sauce is watery and has like a tomato soup flavor. Pecan pie is so good and so is the loaded potato
