Gophermods - IDS Center

My Nintendo Switch LCD screen unfortunately shattered last month. After calling around, Gophermods had a reasonable price and was conveniently located near me. I paid when they ordered the part, but held onto my device until it arrived. A family member was able to bring it in and later pick it up when I was out of town. It did take a bit of time to complete the repair, but given the recent snow and it being over the holidays, it seemed reasonable. My switch looks brand new, and overall I'm very happy with Gophermods.

Thoroughly impressed! This place is clean the techs know what they’re doing and they’re super friendly and helpful. I came in with a cracked screen they got me sorted out same day for a very competitive price. I came back six months later needing another screen repair and they fixed it same day covered under my warranty. No trying to trick you out of extra money or waste your time. I would go here again and again rather than dropping 1000 bucks on a new phone.

Quick, easy service, very reasonable prices. Brought my phone in and they repaired it in no time. Happy to see they have refurbished phones too - likely where I will by my next one. 12/16: Back for a second visit to GopherMods today after breaking my screen again. Glad I purchased their extra screen change for a little extra on my last visit as I know I’m a klutz. Another helpful visit. Always pleasant, always speedy. This is the place to go to for phone and electronic help.

I've been trying to avoid replacing mobile phones and computers as a means to reduce my own waste and impact on the environment-- and Gophermods @ IDS Center made MIRACLES happen! John and the staff there upgraded my 2008 MacBook to be fully functional again so I could use Adobe Creative Cloud in just over a week waiting for parts for an ancient lap top takes time!. I later went back and had them replace the battery and lightning charging port on my Iphone 7, making it work and operate like new, in under 2 hours. I was so impressed by their suggestions, and I really loved how clearly they communicated with me, and made sure expectations were met. I can't say enough about how simple these upgrades are, but that they saved me THOUSANDS of dollars replacing and recycling these items. Getting items I loved repaired, feels as good as buying something brand new. Thank you Gophermods! <3

Incredible customer service! I walked in to get my cracked screen serviced and they were honest about the estimated completion time same-day service. Took a total of an hour and a half. While they were not my nearest option, I'm glad I went just a little farther 2 mi to get my phone serviced. Couldn't have been happier with my decision. Mike was very helpful and reassuring in that I leave with my phone working 100% like it was before the cracked screen. Definitely recommend Gophermods-Minneapolis, 10/10!

I had a great experience at Gophermods, the techs were friendly and knowledgeable and very timely. I went in to get a battery replaced and they got it done in about an hour. However, the reason they only get four stars from me is because the tech accidentally killed my phone by screwing into the motherboard. He missed by half a millimeter! And that sucks BUT, they’re replacing the phone and shipping it out to me in Chicago. Overall, I wish that I had my phone back today, but under the circumstances I’m very impressed with the reaction and finesse they used to fix the mistake. Thanks Gophermods!

I cracked my phone screen and wanted to get it replaced somewhere quick and easy and, maybe most importantly, not sketchy! The person at Gophermods was really professional and I could tell right away I made the right choice. Wonderful experience. He gave me the information I needed to make the decision I wanted to without trying to sell me anything I didn't want! Will definitely go back if my phone ever gets damaged again.

This is long overdue, but I couldn't not tell about the amazing experience I had with this place back in February. I originally came in for a battery change for a galaxy S6. During the repair some of the paint off of the decal came off during the separation of the phone from the base. This is not uncommon, which is why I brought it in to have it done in the first place. Without even saying a word, they started discussing how to go about the repairing the damaged parts during the battery replacement. Now this is despite me signing a waiver to repair with a possibility of these things happening. Truly it was only an aesthetic problem, but they went above and beyond to make it whole without me even requesting it. I came in for a battery, and walked out with a new capacitor and back panel, without even complaining or making a fuss about anything. This is how you treat a customer! I will always come back to this location for all of my cellphone repair needs. TL;DR - Stellar customer service; respect for your and your product. Super quick turnaround time. Employees do the right thing, store is managed by good people. If cellphones existed in the 40s, this would be the place my great grandpa would have gone to.

I highly recommend Gophermods! I managed to drop my little older model I phone5s twice in the span of a few months. I dropped the phone off at Gophermods, and both times the guys were able to fix my phone quickly. Especially great if you live or work in downtown Minneapolis, since they are located in the skyway level of the IDS building. Convenient, fast and friendly service!
