Hello, My Northern Friends! Gotham Deli is just the taste of home you need sometimes. The roast beef was excellent, with horseradish fresh enough to make my eyes water. If the broccoli salad isn’t the same recipe as the Italian pizzeria I worked in 1,000 years ago, in PA, I’ll eat my hat. But, we all know, it’s the bread that makes the sandwich, right? You won’t be disappointed!!

Well this is my favorite Sub shop located in downtown Smithfield. I wish they had one in South East Raleigh. Get the chicken parmesan sub with potato salad and you won't be disappointed. Great place to grab a big pickle and and delectable submarine sandwich.

This little nugget in downtown Smithfield is don't miss! Tired of fastfood? Go in, head to the counter and the menu is posted behind it - I got the Reuben I chose mustard over Russian dressing and the combo which includes a drink and a bag of chips. My other half got an Italian Sammich however he would suggest requesting olive oil & vinegar with salt and pepper instead of the Mayo that came on it. But either way it was super solid sandwiches across the board!

While visiting friends in NC from NYC my friend suggested we come to Gotham's for lunch. From the minute I walked in I was reminded of home. We all got different "heroes" or "subs" and they were all great. I had a Roast beef and Turkey while another a chicken parm and the 3rd an "Italian". There were no complaints about any. The service was pretty quick and courtesy. The tables all seemed to clean which was nice considering it was lunch time. If I had to point out a negative it was one member of our party received the wrong size sandwich and when I pointed this out to the server instead of offering to correct the error he simply replied that was all we were charged for. Unfortunately this is something that does happen when the order isn't repeated back to the guest which is exactly what happened with us today. Other than that it was a good experience and I would definitely recommend this spot for a great sandwich!

Excellent food! Excellent service! The owner came out to the tables and talked and joked with individual groups including ours. Wonderful dining experience! All of the servers were knowledgeable about all the different sandwiches and answered any questions I had concerning the food.

Had lunch with my son who's a Clayton resident and his 2 children. Food was very good atmosphere fantastic for NY experience in the south. All the memorabilia is outstanding. Am originally a Bronx boy myself and heard proprietor is from Manorville LI. Would've enjoyed meeting him to praise his "deli". Maybe next time when I come down. Don't pass this ace up when in Smithfield.

This place and its management ownership is a class act. I had one order out of many good ones that wasn't their normal selves and they went above and beyond to make it right. The food is quality and the bread has the amazing taste of up north. I highly recommend this place breakfast is on point too and our dealership will utilize them whenever we are in need of great sandwiches. Thanks Gotham's Deli!

I visited Gotham with a friend while I was in town for a few days. Fun and inviting atmosphere with all the NY memorabilia your heart can desire. I ordered the turkey ruben called the Rachel and oh boy was it delicious! I grabbed a slice of cheesecake to go and it was amazing. Many options to choose from, so the hardest part was deciding what to get. You'll definitely want to preplan if your are going to downtown Smithfield, so you'll know where to park.

My bread was extremely hard. I had to go home and put my own bread on the meat. The shop was clean and staff was friendly. However, all of the carbonated beverages were out. I went about an 1.5 hours before closing.

Great place for a delicious sub! I've been swinging by this little place for years! Absolutely delicious subs! The subs are loaded up and the bread is baked to perfection. I've never been disappointed with the food here. The atmosphere is very open and family friendly. If you're looking for a good sub, this is the place for you.
