Good food. Down to earth atmosphere. Good prices. The owner is not cranky, he just has a dry sense of humor. Don't go in expecting sunshine and unicorns and you won't be disappointed.

Great place! Food is authentic and plenty. Good choices of European beers and wine. Very friendly staff. Feels very homely. Salad bar and bread while you wait for your main dish.

Grew up on Mallory st Danbury CT and live in Raleigh NC ... The Goulash in Danbury is a destination restaurant for Hungarian food!

Local gem! Mom & Pop Hungarian food. The owners are lovely & the menu doesn't change. The food is always delicious and super cheap. They serve wine & beer, but byo hard alcohol. Great for larger groups because it's off the beaten path & quiet.

No idea how the food is. We drove an hour from Orange County NY, to find the place closed during posted open hours. No note on the door or anything. Did they go out of business?
