DO NOT PARK IN THIS GARAGE! SECOND TIME IN THREE WEEKS WE WILL BE REPLACING A WINDOW LUCKY US THIS TIME ON TWO CARS. AND THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE CARS TO STEAL.
Beware where you pay for the garage at Plankinton and Michigan. There is a sign next to a self-serve payment kiosk that says to pay ahead for parking and that no attendant is on duty. After paying $10 at the kiosk, the exit gate asked for $8 and refused to recognize the $10 receipt from the kiosk. Had to hit the button for assistance and was told by a human the kiosk is not where you pay for parking. Had to pay $8 and dispute the $10 charge. Why is the kiosk in the parking garage if it's not how you pay for parking? UPDATE: After calling to dispute the $10 charge, found out both charges were posted by the merchant "Milwaukee Grand Avenue." They charged us twice for parking while denying the kiosk was theirs. There's no merchant/vendor name or phone number listed on their receipts so you know who to contact.
The parking garage has created many issues, if your not a resident or going to the YMCA, before or after business hours for the mall you will be charged hefty for the parking. They currently owe me $26.00 from a year ago, haven't seen a check in the mail yet. I called to get it and a really good sounding female gave me attitude and told me they don't do refunds and hing up on me while saying they are in Chicago. She didn't even want to lift the pole so that I could get out. It's hard to reverse without hitting on coming traffic or other parked vehicles. Be Aware!
It's really mind boggling to me how you have to pay for every where you park in this state it's really sad. I didn't have a problem parking there for planet fitness but it helps me stay from going to planet fitness again because you have to pay to park just to work out which is said even though it may be $3 and $1 extra after every hour you stay from there it's sad they have minor parking spots
Nobody parks here to go to the actual mall, just for work and nearby hotels. Parking here is pathetically expensive otherwise, and you can get stuck for a couple reasons, namely something to do with the gates glitching out. Working as often and oddly scheduled as i am, i have been stuck upwards of 20 minutes from it eating a validated ticket and not letting me out thanks to the very dicey ticket system and staff whose hours are slimmer than banking hours. So if youre lucky enough to get a call through their evil ticket box to someone, it will take them at least 10 minutes to mosey on over and grant you freedom. For the cost of a full EIGHTEEN DOLLAR ticket if the machine ate your validated one. I wish i were joking.
I work nearby, can't wait to see them finish this big project...I hope it isn't ONLY unaffordable housing that really helps no one who needs it
The new mall owners have emptied out many stores and much of the Food court. Now, West end anchor Boston Store/ Bonton is leaving. What's the plan for this prime piece of downtown land?
Big changes- Boston Store, Gone, Payless Shoes, Gone; Food Court, Gone,TJ Maxx alive; produce place-still some great deals! .Walgreens, the pharmacy and multipurpose store. Lots of construction!!
Not really much of a mall these days. Lots of closed stores and food vendors. Long promised improvements don't seem to be happening.
I can't wait to see how the new developments underway at the Avenue transform this historic space and bring new people and businesses to this portion of the city.
